It is around 2-4k depending on color, quoted by Glamour.
I found it very expensive for a rubber paint.
Very convenient and fast, this one i agreed.
Anyone did it ?
Is it worth to do ?

4k can do normal paint job twice.
spray watever color u like (2K), use it for few months, if dont like, change another color or back to original colour (2k). i dont see why plasti dip works? its not durable, its not cost effective. maybe only fun..hmm |

In fact plastic dip more durable with lifespan of 2-3 years without issues. If got scratch , just touch up with the plastic dip.
I had dip my rims and from bumper....one of the best product... if got peel, just take it cleanly and respray... So far still look nice....excellent for chipping resistance part. |

Rims very troublesome rite? Everytime you changed tyres, you need to respray again as the edges are all gone.
I spray using DIY can bought from ACE hardware. Effect not bad. Its mattted. If you wan shiny can buy another spray to make them shiny. |

Plastidip might stain your car depending on your car colour. White for example is a no-no for plastidip.
Fast yes, compared to a full respray, a full car plastidip can be done in 1-2 days, compred to 1-2 weeks for a proper respray job. Plastidip is great for small interior parts, or spoilers and grilles. not so much full respray. |

I check wrap with Unicorn and another one shop in Sri Kembangan.
Wrapping even more expensive, 3-8k. Crazy I would said. My is new car 6 months old accord 2.4 I bought Champagne Frost Pearl color, very easy to maintain but not so cool looking, though about another color, then Plasti dip and wrap came in mind. But the cost is so high. |

from what i gathered, plasti dip should be a cheaper alternative to proper paint and for people to get creative through DIY
as we are not in the US, the supply is quite limited = expensive. per can USD7 here > RM50 also getting proper tools to DIY dip a whole car would be difficult having said that, DIY plasti dipping small parts of the car as a hobby is fine anything beyond that, not worthy yet. |

Make it interesting??? Why want to mess with the factory paint job?
You can always spruce it up with bigger 18 or 19inch wheels, lower it, give it a bodykit depending on your preference (VIP style, sporty look, etc...), heck... even hella flush if tat tickles your fancy...many many other ways...jus look towards google to give you ideas... Paying 4k for a paintjob that feels like the ground of a tennis court ain't worth it...for me at least... Or u can make it look like a camouflaged test car on the road...i bt no one's done that before ![]() This post has been edited by nm7: Aug 15 2014, 01:46 AM |

Is it worth to do ? but people are using it to dip their dicks in nowadays. so yeah, it's not cheap because it was invented not to replace your car paint. |
