Well, to put things into perspective: after he learnt that Barca didn't need him anymore, there are Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma, Napoli, Atletico, Dortmund etc who COULD use his service. A player of his quality should have plenty admirers besides Mourinho, so why Chelsea? Because there were no other suitors? I doubt that. When he signed the contract, it was still early in the transfer window. Still got plenty of times to wait for those top European clubs to chase him.

So, my conclusion is (/equip Flame Shield) because Chelsea offered him a big fat paycheck, and it's too good to refuse, plus he could have a sh!tty World Cup (and he did, as the rest of the Spain team) and still managed to secure a good contract, and so he said "lol f*ck Arsenal I'll go to your direct rival instead". And then sugarcoat it with those "Arsenal don't want me boo hoo" to negate the potential backlash.

Seriously guys, move on  smile.gif

League Quality,
Club Potential,
Who has the money,

which top tier players would really want to head to the Italian league these days? it has degraded tremendously, even their top players there are heading out
that removes the likes of Juventus,Milan,Inter,Roma,Napoli,
Next.... these clubs don't really have the money to bid 30m-40m for a top player without unloading a couple of theirs, they are not in the best of financial situation these days
if you look at Italian club transfers over the years, they have really only sign B- B+ players quality to their squad

Atletico Madrid seriously?......Barce to Atl Madrid..direct rivals not to mention it is a downgrade
Dortmund, doubt he would want to head there.....2nd best behind Bayern, with Dortmund also having their top players leaving 1by1

Chelsea on the other hand,
-has the money to buy him let alone offer him big pay cheque
-has great winning potential, great squad
-and Cesc has BPL experience

i already knew that if we are not signing him, it was either United or Chelsea with the follow ups, really its just pure common sense.

cool.gif think deep mate, the answers are there

but yeh, lets move on...
we have Ozil and lets hope he will make Gunners proud this season!

He can assist how much he wanted. We knew his quality anyway.
But could we please stop talking about him? He is a Chelsea player now. I don't give a f**k about him anymore.

I just hope we could bring a new DM and a CB.
I can live with Giroud as CF for one more season, but not Arteta as DM.

Looking at Chelsea's performance & squad depth, the football pundits were right to pick Chelsea as the favourite to win BPL.

AW must get rid of Diaby & buy a powerful DM. Diaby is a waste of resource.

""Winning the World Cup was the best possible end to 10 years in the national team. I’ve moved aside to let younger players take over. Puma PR fail..

A Puma marketing campaign has gone horribly wrong after football fans found a way to get players to tweet embarassing messages.

Falcao tweeted to one fan: "Liverpool are w**k" while Marco Reus put "Cocaine, I couldn't do it without you."

It comes after Puma invited users to tweet in to stars such as Balotelli, Reus, Falcao, Aguero and Fabregas. The replies would then come in the form of a picture with the hashtag #Fastergraph and were addressed to the Twitter usernames of the fans. However the Twitter users soon noticed that if they temporarily changed their Twitter handle it could result in the automated system to be fooled.

Does this mean there's still more to come?
