Here's to show sometimes chrome work well if they are applied at the right spot :
DX9 D-04 Power Master Upgrade Parts + AOE Platinum Edition Evasion Mode OP Vehicle Mode   Bot Mode   Action Pose   OP "Gundam" Style... ( )  Overall the quality is decent cause some of the parts (especially the small pegs on the shoulder armors and the peg holes for the smoke stacks) seems a bit fragile as it is starting to turn white after a few transforming session  but boy does these add ons make him look good  . |

I also saw Optimus Prime's alt mode and was disappoined with the paint apps (or lack thereof) on the side windows..definitely going to wait for Takara for that one. Anyway in conclusion, Superion is quite fun, their individual bot modes look pretty nice (if lacking in the transformation department).. medicore alt modes (except alpha bravo.. quite like him) ..Fun combined mode. Dragstrip is also a pretty nice figure and nice alt mode. However, I don't really like face sculpt.. kinda looks like it belongs to TFA (not that I hate TFA but I feel it looks out of place with Generations). I will probably get the rest of the stunticons and keep them in individual bot modes .. (looking at prime's combined mode.. i don't see how the Menasor could shatter even my low expectations) ? Just pray that if Taktom decide release the Combiner Wars series they are going sell them in 1 whole set instead randomly packing another figure which is not from the same group (ala Dragstrip) . As for Combiner Optimus Prime... nothing a little paint couldn't fix . I just wish that some 3rd party company will making the replacement parts for those rubbery antennas on Superion's head as they bound to deteriorate faster compare to regular plastic if not kept properly. |
