Even if Takara releases all of them piece by piece, i'm sure hobby shops will sell them all in sets. I don't think they would want to be stuck in a situation where they have one Aerialbot more than the others but if hobby shops are really selling them individually then Slingshot is a MUST! Alpha Bravo just don't cut it, a helicopter just doesn't blend well with jets.
Nope, F-18 was not utilized :haha: but yeah, back to the Aerialbots, Alpha Bravo just don't cut it. I'm really looking forward to the Takara's version of Slingshot. I just bought a "additional" Firefly from TRU to replace "Alpha Bravo". I'm getting the entire wave tomorrow =) when Slingshot releases, I think i'm just going to sell off the additional Firefly and that Alpha Bravo for people who are buying Defensor.
I agree that the quality has deteriorated tremendously since especially with the AoE line toys, up to the DoTM, it's still fine but then again, we have to take into account the factor of inflation. I don't "collect" every one, i just collect the one that i fancy so yeah, that eases the pain a bit.
To me, 3rd party figures are like "spin-off" cartoons. They are true to its core but somehow "lacking".

For the MPs, the prices are crazily high. the MP-22 now is selling for RM600.00. It's almost the wage some people are earning for a month. What's worst, unscrupulous scalpers are exploiting. Takara's MP10 is going for RM1,600.00 -.- and that was quoted to me last month but now since Takara has announce an reissue i think they can no longer stay there =)

For MP figures, buy at PO prices. Cheaper.

Got my MP22 for RM460. And I purchase the car MP's never beyond RM200 (except for MP12 Sideswipe).

Was lucky to snag MP11 on a discount smile.gif

The others --- well, I stalk FB and wait for people to quit collecting tongue.gif

Actually, MP12 Lambor started off as a RM180 range on PO, even less at some places.

What TakTom didnt expect was the reception it received, as the demand outnumbered the supply. Happened again with MP14.

But production has since increased for later releases, with rumors abound that MP12 and MP14 will be reissued.

And whether or not theres reissue is highly dependent on Hasbro and/or TakTom. Late 2013, there were news circulating that the Asia Exclusive Convention Grimlock would be the last one. Fast forward to mid 2014, (a) Hasbro released their Grimlock MP in new box (b) TakTom reissued the MP8X.

Which line retains the highest resale value is dependent on the flavor of the day.

2-3 years ago, no one bats an eye on MP figures, to the point Hasbro MP Grimlock and Rodimus was on massive sales. Then MP10 came along and reignited the line, thus increasing the lines value.

Its similar with the Generations Legends figure. Prior to Titan Metroplex, Legends were in abundance. When Metroplex was released, everyone I know who has a Metroplex has an urge to buy Legends figures, thus the value of the whole line went up.

Does Takara Tomy made MP usually comes with coin or without? I"m quite lost at the moment because I've not been following up since Grimlock MP.

And, is there possibility of knock offs version? I've seen one of the Soundwave cassette, rumble if not mistaken, KO version, looks like the actual thing. Kinda worried cos I buy mine online.

Takara MP's as of MP8 comes with coin. At least for the first production run.

And yes, there are KO MPs. Currently in the market:-

MP8 - WuKong MP8 / upcoming upsized MP8.
MP9 - Loose 'factory stock' MP9 with revised joints.
MP10 - comes without trailer. Also comes in BAPE / EVA / mock up Ultra Magnus colours.
MP 12 / 12T / 14 - all nearly accurate KO, priced below RM140.
MP15 / 16 - very accurate imitations.
MP13B Ratbat - available loose.
MP 17 / 18 / 19 -all nearly accurate KO, priced below RM140.

No news of MP20 / 21 / 22 KO's yet, but it shouldnt be too long.

MP22 might take a while though as TakTom has moved the production line outside of China.

thanks for the info. well hopefully the seller is honest enough to put KO. else, don't wanna spend money on original price for KO version. Usually if KO, they put KO, on back then, REPLICA as well.

been a long time i don't follow TF. Quite a number of Binaltechs back then, then got Optimus MP1, and few along the way before I stop for a while. I see Peninsular TF in TRU has better stocks than here.

Anyone know what is the p.o. price for sdcc metroplex?
*
The one released last year? Not sure if it ever reached our shores. Most shops sell the HKAGC Version, PO was just below RM600. Bought mine at RM640 (scalped, damn it!)

Not sure how much is the retail price now. As a substitute, try searching for the Hasbro / TakTom retail version of Metroplex. A few are being sold second hand.

By the way, the local seller I mentioned earlier (Re: TakTom United Superion) is FamiToy. Still not sure whether I can splurge for anything other than the official MPs this year. Ministress of Finance is tigtening the purse strings tongue.gif

TFSource.com price has always been higher than local. For reasons (unknown to me) TF figures sold locally here are usually cheaper on release compared to Europe / US.

Leaked from the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Pictures peeks:-

1. Titan Class Devastator
2. Hasbro MP Streak (if priced the same as Hasbro MP Prowl at RM450, I bet a lot will be left to rot in our local TRU shelves -- except for the few who prefer to pay for the 'premium' packaging and prefer US release v Japan release)

Overall, they are stumpy and very Cute  thumbup.gif    The colours  used are nice and vibrant. Luv those Shiny Golden Eyes . The plastic quality damn good. All 3 accidentally fell from table (Waist Height) 3 times while setting up with Cherno Alpha. Nothing broke except one of the sharkies arm kinda loose now but no big deal.
*
The loose arm joint should be easily fixed with nail polish smile.gif

Nice haul by the way!

Updates on CW Devastator :

1. Will go on retail for approx. USD149.90 for the whole set

2. Members of the Constructicons are transformable, but looking at the pictures, the transformation might be a simple one.

3. Alt Modes for each member is looking mighty fine! Bot mode -- not so much. Limited articulation for the figures. Hope this does not hinder articulation for Devastator.

4. For gallery, link --> http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=album&disp...-figures-images

Note : The 'legs' of Devastator, when looked from the back, looks like the Constructicons having a breakdance/cheerleading battle. *you cannot unsee this*

3rd Party MotorMaster that is said to be able to form Menasor with the rest of the Hasbro Combiner Wars Stunticons. Tempting, and aesthetically better than Hasbro's.
