Camera's from that era tend to use mercury batteries. Due to toxic mercury they're now banned/discontinued.Got 2 choices:-
1) Try to use WeinCell battery http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/wein-epx-625.htm.
It's a direct replacement with correct voltage, not easy to find locally.

2) Found a guide online using 675ZA batteries and get those to fit the Olympus.

Olympus 35RC doesn't appear to have circuitry to compensate for higher voltage modern batteries. (hopefully someone can correct me)
Light meter reading might be few stops higher. You'll have to manually adjust F stops to compensate.

Have similar problem with my Pentax Spotmatic SP. Also uses 1.35v mercury battery.
Thankfully Spotmatics have a bridge rectifier so possible to use modern 387S 1.55v batteries.
Higher voltage doesn't effect metering and the 387S battery comes with a rubber gasket to fit the battery compartment.
