Hey guys, planning to make a home gym with the very basic equipments to do stronglists..
The equipments i need are:
  • 7ft Olympic barbell
  • Olympic plates (20kg - 1.25kg)
  • Flat bench
  • Power rack

However im not so sure where i can shop for these things?
Ive did some research and transmark is probably the only place with most of it, but no price quotes..
wondering if there are any other alternatives coz if possible need a rough guidelines for the prices of these things.

I assume its gonna be roughly RM5k?

Thanks guys smile.gif

If you are setting your own home gym, try getting adjustable bench instead of flat bench so you can include more variation of exercise without extra cost. Although adjustable bench might cost a bit more and not as stable as flat bench.

Also prepare good floor mat to minimize the sound of your weight plate dropping.

As for your power rack, look for power rack with pull up bar and possibly dip bars installed on it to increase variety of exercise.

Just my 2 cents. I don't know where to buy those and sorry for out of topic lol.

Sound is one thing but breaking tiles is another headache

Yes. That's why sometime quality come over quantity. Cheaper floor mat but cracking your tiles which cost more in future.

Used to buy Weider rubber weights from Weider in KL Plaza (now closed). Back then the 20KG plate was RM240 and I bought 4pcs at RM960. Recently sold all 150KG for RM1,000 to a very happy buyer.
