Anker 2600maH? OEM Battery 2600maH? Zerolemon 3000maH? Im using Sun Global battery, already 5 months now still performed well. Its just a bit better than stock. Plus one-to-one warranty is just nice and secureI heard the OEM batt sold in ebay are all fake irregardless of the seller saying it's genuine. QUOTE(UserU @ Sep 27 2014, 03:15 PM) I've used it on my previous phone, battery drain was way worse than my phone's. I find it a rip-off. Same to me when i first got my hands on it, the battery just soo worst. Then i claimed for warranty, did some spoof story until the seller decided to do one-to-one warranty exchange, and after that bamm. Its up and running better than stock |

My advice is, if you wanna get original samsung S4 battery, better go samsung store but it might cost u a bit.http://www.lelong.com.my/original-samsung-...7-01-Sale-I.htm |

QUOTE(UserU @ Sep 28 2014, 03:22 PM) No idea, OEM can even be passed off as genuine. eBay is pretty much like Lelong. You have to take what the seller says. Noted, and I can see lots of people roped in already. Just wow... QUOTE(rickysay @ Sep 28 2014, 04:39 PM) Any battery outside of OEM can uncle recommend? I am currently looking into Anker 2600maH. very well known brand in the aftermarket batt world. You can try Anker battery. I saw one user in garage sales selling it, as he bring in stocks from Amazon.com but cant remember the name anymore. It comes with external chargerI heard sun global batts are good at first but slowly degrade with time faster than stock and bulges as fast as a stock OEM battery. |

QUOTE(turtlezz @ Sep 29 2014, 08:40 PM) Any bugs? Did you flash the Chinese modem/call quality fix? I've always wanted to switch to aosp but been following cm11 thread and always seem got problem. Btw what's the difference with all the aosp/cm based roms? Got so many, pa, slimkat, etc. To be frank, if you want that call quality to be fix, just flash Malaysia modem.bin file. I've made a flashable zip for that if you want. Latest malaysia modem by samsung was NB2, the one that comes with NE7 firmware. All works fine.Problem? What problem? I've faced very little problem, maybe minor. Currently the best CM/AOSP rom so far is Paranoid Saber Droid // Carbon (probably the best) // Nameless rom. Im still running a test between these three |

QUOTE(turtlezz @ Sep 30 2014, 06:14 PM) Read from cm11 xda thread (at least last time) got camera image issue, Bluetooth issues (not sure what exactly), otg needs some app to fix? and of course call quality/audio mixer was discussed a lot. Camera issue no doubt, it is not actually an issue, actually CM-based rom only use Google Camera app, re-emphasized for CM-rom, eventho, the picture quality using that camera app is not as good as stock samsung.Anyway, tempted to try carbon rom now, can I get the flashable Malaysian modem please Here you go : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0rn_tVhzp...dit?usp=sharing |

QUOTE(sevenegg @ Oct 2 2014, 08:48 AM) i see, so which way is easier/safer to perform? OTA or ODIN flash? Using ODIN is much easier once you know the steps. Download latest Odin (v3.09) then download your required firmware files, connect your phone to your pc in Download Mode, load your firmware in Odin then flash.can you briefly teach me on how i can do that? sorry rookie here. QUOTE(medichloreans @ Oct 2 2014, 03:12 PM) I expect more free space when migrate to Samsung Official Rom to Carbon/AOSP Rom. Flashing AOSP rom doesnt make your internal to have more space, that requires pit file flash through Odin, in which ive tested and it just release couple of GB's and not worth it. And were already have memory card to expand spaceBut the internal storage nearly same. |

QUOTE(medichloreans @ Oct 2 2014, 05:39 PM) Any forumer flash with latest carbon. I still have the problem with cant switch on after shuttting down the phone and connect it to the charger. If switching off without connect to the charger, it'll have no prob. Im on latest Carbon right now, seems like its a CM kernel bug, i faced the same problem on Nameless rom.Just test it on Nameless rom just now, same thing. But in my case, i didnt pull out the battery, below are my case: 1.) I drain battery till 0% 2.) Connect the charger, battery icon came out and gone black again, but its charging 3.) After 5 mins i try to turn it on, it doesnt turn on. 4.) I disconnect the charger, let alone for a while and reconnect the charger and turn it on, done Try that, if still same thing, try disconnect charger, press power button. Try changing sequence. QUOTE(medichloreans @ Oct 2 2014, 06:02 PM) Use an app from playstore to store Obb files in your SD Card, the app will create a link for the file intergrate to the game, for the app name tho |

Wow you're fast. Im still on 28/9. Will flash 10/02 after this. It is recommended to just dirty flash. No need gappsWhats the app name? GL to SD? Means just reboot to recovery and flash the update, no need wipe or any. Sorry i cant remember the app name, maybe someone in here knows about it |

QUOTE(sevenegg @ Oct 7 2014, 12:22 PM) Looks like an ancient time firmware. Better update to latest firmware. Any country will do, if got signal problem, download any malaysian firmware, extract the modem.bin and i will make a flashable zip for you. Using odin also can flash modem |

When we receive updates for 4.4.4, the features will be the same, looks the same, no difference. Same when Android L hits our device. I think.
How i am bored with samsung firmware, i9500 can be said as state of the art during its time, even now it can surpass any Snapdragon 800 SoC device easily with some tweaks. Hope there is some big changes for the upcoming firmware, or am i dreaming here? Maybe. |
