After i updated to 4.4.2 , my wifi, battery bar, all becomes white colour and does not have colour like previous version. is it normal ?

My S4 somewhat died yesterday, and it wasn't anything to do with the OS. Not sure what happened, but when I turned it off due to low battery and attempted to charge it with the adapter, the screen shows the battery icon for several seconds and just turns black.

Took out the battery but it didn't work. No signs of bloat. Now I'm stuck with a "bricked" phone.

Charger works fine along with the cable I tested on a powerbank I have.

However I don't have a spare battery so I guess I've to buy it. :/

UPDATE: A miracle happened; took out the battery, held onto the POWER+HOME for several seconds, placed the battery back in and voila! It works

Anyone got new firmware update this morning?Got notification of it just now,but dont hav wifi to download.

I think it is just software update.since the size is only 192.xx mb too small to be firmware update .haha

The latest update is to update Knox version 1.0 to 2.0.... I think I will skip this update.

no la, just some simple stuff i want to clarify.

coz my i9506 is an imported set, and it is still android 4.3 until now.

so now here's my question: will imported phone which is not official in malaysia (malaysia only got i9500 and i9505) get their auto software update outside the origin region where the phone is produced? i tried both OTA and samsung kies methods but it showed that my phone have the latest update which is android 4.3,  i supposed 4.4 kitkat for i9506 had already rolled out few months ago., rite? so now the only way i can get the update is i manually flash it by using odin?

Hmm...looks like I have battery issue again after updating to the recent 194mb size update. Battery is draining quicker than before after the update....

Some apps suppose to close but actively running background...

These bloatware is good feature but the battery is bottleneck..

hahahahaha! Let me speculate... 4.4.4 is in between Oct to Dec... and L will be Feb to April...

When we receive updates for 4.4.4, the features will be the same, looks the same, no difference. Same when Android L hits our device. I think.

How i am bored with samsung firmware, i9500 can be said as state of the art during its time, even now it can surpass any Snapdragon 800 SoC device easily with some tweaks. Hope there is some big changes for the upcoming firmware, or am i dreaming here? Maybe.
