ever watch suzumiya haruhi? this is a spin-off of Suzumiya Haruhi series, which totally has nothing to do with the original one except from being driven based of a parallel (what if) universe that existed in the movie arc.
Since this is the first time I am experiencing the spinoff, I feel completely clueless about the drastic changes presented in Nagato, Kyon and Asakura after watching 1st episode. I mean, I can only see Gintoki in Sugita's performance based on this pilot and that Nagato is not my favourite database alien anymore.
New art style need time to accept it The joke battle between tsuruya and asakura quite lame Kyon is still kyon... Mikuru is still mikuru.... is good to listen to goto yuko voice once again
hm is it just me or they changed the VA for Tsuruya-san? well i dont mind but even the speech patern is different from the usual Tsuruya-san that i know. other than that i have no other complain since i've read the manga and really love it

Because this is a whole new story where the characters' personality may be altered a little to create a new vibe. This is not Suzumiya Haruhi series, this is just a spin-off that is not related to SH original world . Her dialogues in NY might have changed the way she normally acts in SH.

i know what this is, i've read the manga after all. its just i still think she sounds a bit different.
btw, i think its easier for people to understand this better if they think this is more the spin-off for Haruhi-chan than the real one, since the mangaka is the same. We have Nagato who loves game as much as books, Tsuruya-san the rich girl who always have a private place for the whole team to play, and Kyon whose only there to tsukkomi everything. that and a little romance in between

it is only popular in japan though. haruhi fandom outside japan (besides nagato-kyon shippers) didn't really give any serious cent towards this spinoff.

i know. some of us really tried to support them anyway they can. even i bought some novel that i really liked. However, like i said, their main customer is Japs themselves. so no matter whether we like it or not, as long as the Japs like it, they will deliver.
One last out topic... There is still content creater/performer that give out 100% to people that support them... If one is really that calculative... Then that just sad

well, it was nice all in all. not the best but still great. what i enjoy the most out of this show is how many reference towards the original that they throw in it so casually. the romance is just 2nd plus to me
