this is a spin-off of Suzumiya Haruhi series, which totally has nothing to do with the original one except from being driven based of a parallel (what if) universe that existed in the movie arc.

this is the disappearance arc version of nagato, mixed well with puyo's fanfiction-tier writing.

Since this is the first time I am experiencing the spinoff, I feel completely clueless about the drastic changes presented in Nagato, Kyon and Asakura after watching 1st episode.
I mean, I can only see Gintoki in Sugita's performance based on this pilot and that Nagato is not my favourite database alien anymore.

Because this is a whole new story where the characters' personality may be altered a little to create a new vibe.
This is not Suzumiya Haruhi series, this is just a spin-off that is not related to SH original world .
Her dialogues in NY might have changed the way she normally acts in SH.

Still hating moeblob yuki though. It just doesn't feels right.

it is only popular in japan though.
haruhi fandom outside japan (besides nagato-kyon shippers) didn't really give any serious cent towards this spinoff.
