I book my car less than a month ago and made the downpayment ono last Saturday. My SA told me that the car will be arriving this week and will let me know the actual date and time by Mon or Tues.

Thats why I'm excited and can't wait any longer to feel it.

dEfrAgmEntEr:

When did you place your booking for your City Vtec? What color is your City and which branch you place your booking from?
*
i didnt book.... i terus pay... that was last sat....
colour is that silver with gold gold a bit... forgot what name....
branch is the shop somewhere along cheras road...
i expect to drive it this sat.... (one week waiting time)

Your car is 2007 or 2006?

just got my city vtec this morning..

quite a bad impression on honda cars although driving experience is wonderful

1. those "carpets" in the boot area is loose, even my old wira is properly fitted to the car body..... no proper clipping to hold it....

2. i received the car in not so clean condition. it's a new car and i expect it to be very very clean. last time when i bought avanza, they wash the car damn clean before delivery. [Toyota 1 Honda 0]

Hopefully no more issues will arise.

I have a question, what do they do for the first 1000km service ?
- the salesman said just checking the car condition and attends to any complains that i have

They dont even change the oil ?? i thought first 1000km must change the oil to remove all the foreign materials from the engine.

But it's not in the first 1000km service.

everyone here also same like me ???

Which Honda showroom you buy from la?
That way I'll make sure I'll inform my family members not to go there to get their Honda
*
it's along jln cheras wan lar.... not to say it's bad lar... the salesman immediately clean up the dirts and wipe the windscreen...

yet, i think all these cleaning should be done before delivery....

some more the car plate numbers are not properly done....
got some kesan glue on the plate.... very bad workmanship...
the salesman agreed to get it replaced by next week when i do my vkool elite tint (RM1400)

QUOTE(cskean @ Jan 21 2007, 01:43 AM)
Yo bro, congra on getting your car even though you have slight problem with the branch, not the car itself.

My car till now also haven't arrive, Black Color City Vtec. According to my SA, they said black is hot and running out of stock. Mind to tell is your branch facing the same issue as well?

I called to Honda Malaysia, Kah Motor and x times call to my SA. But still couldn't get it on this week. The branch manager has verbally promise me the car will be delivered to me by next week. Hopefully they really keep their promise.

Anyway, plan to do any modding on your new babe? If got any nice lubang to get good+cheap stuffs, remember to inform us here woh~

Enjoy the ride~
*
nope.... not going to mod anything at the moment...
i never ask for black colour, so i dont know whether they having shortage or what...
good luck waiting.... smile.gif

Weeks has passed and I was told my car will arriving on Sunday, then Monday do the registration process. Hopefully will get the car by Monday noon or else latest on Tuesday....

Hope that my SA won't fool me again otherwise I will definately ask for refund!!!
*
dude, what took u so long ? cool2.gif

i scratched my front bumper (lower part) on the 2nd day i start driving my new vtec. happen when i tried to park at road side which have higher ground.

then on the 7th day, a 3-4 years old kiddo scratch my side door. probably drunken kid. thank god it was only rubber stain and i manage to polish it off. damn kids, their parent really dont care about their children. one whole street is their playground. kena langgar sure blame the driver wan... i dont wan to mention their race coz i aint a racist guy, but damn these ppls.
also i did my vkool elite tint for rm1400. it's so damn clear as if i didnt tint anything mad.gif . under bright sun i really need a sunglasses cool2.gif . but the heat rejection is good lar. wayyy better than my another car's rike cool rm800.

Finally, my Black Color Honda City has arrived at the showroom.

Can see, can touch but cannot drive!!!!

Why?

Because the JPJ roadtax is not ready yet, due to my car data is not arriving yet to their SYSTEM....

What kind of SYSTEM is this? We are paying and yet we still need to wait for one simple roadtax process?

I know outside can provide cheaper Vkool Elite, but how sure that they give all windows the same film? I heard some say they will give all the 4 windows VKool Elite and the front+rear screen is cheaper range Vkool....
*
finally arrived biggrin.gif rclxms.gif good for you...

i did my vkool for all windows... rm1400 somewhere in ampang point.... my sales agent intro wan..... that shop is "tint shop" if i'm not wrong... when i do my tint, i saw 4 other brand new civic doing also.... all blue colour blink.gif

the elite is good in rejecting heat but i wanted a darker tint. got some VIP feeling mah... driving under bright sun sure must wearsunglasses.

today i whack 150kmh.... maybe can do more but it's end of highway already rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

anyway i seriously dont recommend vkool elite.......
the price is rm1400 (or more)
1. u're getting a good heat rejection
2. but almost no visible light rejection.

apara, darker a bit lar.... it's too bright out there vmad.gif

i suggest probably vkool elite for the front windscreen and some other vkool tint for the rest. (could be cheaper too)

I dont think it's a good idea to switch D S D S D..... probably shorten the gear box's life

Furthermore i'm not yet biasa with the manual switching yet....

Maybe just put S and try go up...... tongue.gif

*
handbrake where got enough power to slow down... i pull damn strong also no slowing down effect... blink.gif

QUOTE(cskean @ Feb 12 2007, 02:05 AM)
Then when do we usually use the L mode?

When I come down from Genting, I use S mode & also the manual 7 speed @ 2nd/3rd speed. Feeling like manual car, but scare the CVT will rosak if I do it often.....
*
i dont think it's meant to be driven that way..... better not play like that.... sia sia only rosak.... unsure.gif

i wasn't aware i could tell the date of manufacture from the chassis code.. now when you post it up, i check mine and realized i got a 2004 Manufactured car instead of a 2005 Manufactured car mad.gif

I'm pissed now, since the SA was my mum's friend's daughter.. wtf
*
so u bought yours in 2005 and got a 2004 car ?
which month of 2005 u bought it ?

QUOTE(Are_keem @ Mar 10 2007, 12:15 AM)
hurmm..
on the JPJ certificate clearly stated :

tahun dibuat : 2007
tarikh daftar : 17/1/2007 (hey, its ma birthday  laugh.gif )

maybe dat just a name..
juz take it easy..
hehe..

-adios-
*
donno which date to trust - the JPJ cert or the service record book printed by honda.

maybe it's just a name, but like i said earlier it will affect my resale value...

ppl will take it as 06 car and i probably lost rm5k~10k of resale value vmad.gif

--------------------------------------------

it's been an unpleasant purchase.... few things went not so right....

recently few donkeys keep calling me to make survey whether i'm happy with the car or not..... they are some 3rd party company hired by honda to improve customer satisfaction.

they call me during working hrs and of course i gave them a screwing. rclxub.gif

but overall the car is nice....
