Hi Guys,

Hope can get some feedback from any of you who may have had a similar problem like mine, here goes.

Our beloved City is having a major identity crisis, it thinks it's a plane! It has been trying to "take-off" for the past 2 weeks, and it's really worrying my wife and me! At normal driving (110 and below since we are good citizens tongue.gif )
the cabin sounds really like a plane!

Have booked coming Thursday for a "technical" evaluation by the Ground Crew of Honda SC in PJ.
Anyone else had this problem?

Cabin Crew please be seated for take off whistling.gif

This kinda remember me during my first week getting a new City. My wife opened the door from inside and a 'bump' noise was heard... she accidentaly well.. slightly banged the door and kena this next car parked beside us. Then i told her to be careful nanti kemek (in a.. well... slightly raised tone oso), and my wife told me "huk huk abang dah dapat kereta baru dah tak sayangkan syg lagi.. pun kene marah"  sweat.gif

Kesian kesian...

But i do love my wife more than my car.. both oso cannot kemek2 one..  laugh.gif

Well, according to them "its normal wear & tear" and normally happens when mileage or age of car reaches
either 50K or 2 years old. I did not persue the mater muh as I just wanted the problem solved, and they did it.
As long as the car is under warranty, my advise would be, claim what ever you can as long as you can rclxms.gif
currently, from Okm - 120km, NO sounds what so ever....so HM is very happy, and so am I tongue.gif
QUOTE(Kagekiyo @ Sep 8 2007, 03:17 PM)
Hey mydesol, could you share with us what the SC people said about the ball bearing that caused the 'airplane sound'?
I presume most owners here experience the same problem when they tend to go beyond 90km/hr++.

Fuh, many CT owner suffer bad fc meh?

As for me, nearly 3rd year of ownership, my CT give me around 600km with RM80 petronas punya petrol.. other brand tried, but just stick to PETRONAS..

i notice if my tire is under pressure, lets say, it recommended on 230psi (something) but i put lower than that, my fc will be bad, really bad.. around 380km with rm80. Believe or not, with full tank @ Rm85, i can last from Kuala Terengganu to Sabak Bernam, with average 140km/h driving with full load..

Rite now, i'm using 17" rims ( kyowa racing series x something), continental sportcontact 1(205/40/17), eibach  pro kit spring, mugen imitation twinloop+bullet from kweng.. so far my fc is okay..
*
awesome FC bro, seriously...with that kinda "mods" really impressive, but then again, you travel outstation alot?? blush.gif

QUOTE(Jackie Leong @ Sep 17 2007, 11:25 PM)
yeah, tire pressure affects fuel consumption. recommended 32psi front, 30psi rear.

my city averages between 400-450km for 35litres of petrol.

Yeah, i travel outstation a lot, for my job and for my "pleasure"..  brows.gif  brows.gif

Have u filled ur tire with nitrogen? After filled with nitrogen, i can feel my car a bit "light".. i dont know if it just pscyhcological or something, but it do give good result, such as, soften the ride, feel a bit lighter, fc better and so on.. i'm start using the nitrogen on last June..
*
guessed as much cuz the last i travelled to Penang on a single full tank(3 adults/2 kids), jalan jalan 2 days in PG, return to Ipoh then
only topped up!! Guess Honda City when it comes to long distance travelling it really does save a lot.. rclxms.gif

As for Nitrogen, NO bro, am using standard "air/angin" only blush.gif with slightly "higher profile tyres" 195/55/15 NCT5.
besides, the CT is my wife's "personal" ride, any kinda mod's what so ever is strictly "haram" shocking.gif shakehead.gif

me down graded to MYVI(which was suppose to be her's) whistling.gif doh.gif

umm sifus i wanna ask something, my dad is interested to get a city and he would like trade in his current wira which is a 2002-2003 car watz the procedure, the loan for wira is still about 3-4 yrs somemore so the balance of the loan will be paid by honda/new buyer or my dad? and any offer for city ah nw?

Added on September 22, 2007, 10:00 pmumm somebody? can heelp?
*
It will all depend on how much your loan is left with the bank for the Wira and what is your trade in price for the City.
If the balance can off-set from the trade in price, you are in luck, IF not yo have to top-up to the bank.

Check with your City SA on , trade in price for the Wira and check with your bank whats the current full setlement figure
for the Wira.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

On another note, last nite on our way back the Car "jerked" a few times few meters from our house, the lights on the speedo meter
all lite up, a first for me. We managed to park inside the house before the car completely died out.

Today I checked the mantenance free battery and found its still "green", anyone knows what happen? Car can start now, but dun dare drive blush.gif
