Well I think we all have a different point of view, for me I think Bony can only shine in mid table team, same as Borini. Lavezzi stats may be not very good, but at least he is well established in European level, as well as in the World Cup. I still think Lavezzi would bag in more goals than Bony if we put them under the same play makers we have.

Oh and at first I'd want Bony to come if we really couldn't land any other striker, but after watching him for 45mins, HOW ABOUT NO. 
I would only want him if he cost not more than 10m now. 

To put things into perspective :

Liverpool : Sturridge, Lambert, Sterling, Borini (Origi)
City: Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Negredo
Chelsea: Costa, Drogba, Torres, Schurrle
Arsenal: Giroud, Walcott, Sanogo, Sanchez
United: Van Persie, Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck

Basically, our depth doesn't look that hot. We need to replace Borini so we can push Lambert down the pecking order. And this player has to be able to replace Sturridge's goals. So far we've been linked with:

Bony - 25 goals last season. 15-20mil
Remy - 14 goals. 8mil.
Falcao - Scored 11 goals until he got injured back in January. Combined wage and fee 35mil for 1 year loan.
Cavani - 25 goals. 50mil 
Levazzi - 12 goals. 17mil
Etoo - 6 goals. Free agent, 135k pw

City is at their best when in the final third with Silva pulling the strings. From what i saw yesterday albeit quite casually, is that Newcastle was able to stand toe to toe against them in midfield - a lot of times it was just back and forth between this two teams with Newcastle lacking quality upfront to score any goals. City had Silva scoring one and then the pure quality from Aguero to seal the win.

I think the combination of Gerrard, Allen and Hendo can battle it out in midfield. Much depend on Gerrard organizing his midfield and his ability to stop Silva who will be his exact mirror opposition. Can is a good choice too - maybe BR is saving him for City ? He's got real physical presence in midfield and could be the most combative player we have at our disposal, but i think Allen edges over him in terms of mobility and ability.

Moreno if settled can be a special weapon - he's an unknown quantity and can be that long over due fullback with the ability to threaten City's flank. If there's a repeat of Coutinho like yesterday, we gonna need every bit of fire power we can muster.
