Interesting stats. Not blaming Lucas or anything. Its just that Stevie and him cant synergise.

Last season when Gerrard and Lucas started together we averaged 1.875 points per game. They started together in 16 games.
When one of them started as a single pivot we averaged 2.45 points per game.

1.87 points per game is 71 points over a season which would have finished 5th last season. 2.45 points per game is 93 points over a season which would have won the league!

There was no service from midfield. Cout was well shackled. What can he do? Yes. Suarez was missing and surely he is getting adapted to that.

I think its a synergy thing. Both are conservative going forward. Stevie no loner has the legs. That's why he is placed there.
When both are so defensive, theres less pressure on the opposing team's defence. See the change that Allen brought?

See that's what is happening. Stevie stays back and Lucas stays back. No one to help Hendo and Cout to pressure the other team.

When Stevie was injured and Lucas played with Hendo, it was fine.

Benz is very good footballer whereas Falcao is a very good finisher.

Falcao for 200k or Etoo for 130k?

If I was to employ Falcao, I would set a performance based wage system seeing that he just recovered from a very serious injury.
BUT he IS an excellent finisher and seeing that we are hungry for goals.........

Actually guys, Falcao will cost more than 200k per month. Theres the loan fees for Monaco as well. Understand its approx. 10mil for the season.
