Battery life is double as compared to Asus ZF5. My top spec ZF5 can get around 2.5hrs or so of screen on time while my Z7 Max can hit 5hrs. If a ZF5 can last one working day for u, then the Z7 Max will be 2 days before requiring a charge. In addition, the Z7 Max has very good standby time. If u leave the phone overnight on standby for 7 to 8 hrs, battery consumption is about 1-2%.

QUOTE(reign226 @ Sep 26 2014, 02:45 PM)
What do you think of the battery life coming from z5?
I had the k910 but intending to sell also due to the fact that it can only get 3G on SIM1.
How does one handle the dual sim functionality via cyanogen? Does it need to have dual sim support baked in? Are you able to toggle 4G onto SIM2 via cyanogen? Very interested to know, hehe.

The IR emitter is located at the top of the phone, above the ear piece. It comes with a preinstalled app that lets u control TVs, home entertainment systems, DVD players, etc. If u dont find your equipement listed in the app, there is an option for the app to learn your remote controller. I can use it for my TVs, AC Ryan player, TV Pad, DVD recorder, etc.

Wah, seriously? Can control your air-cond with the phone? Where's the infrared located?

Which company is that? Thinking of buying from Lazada too. I notice that T-Dimension Ltd is a HK based company. So if phone got issue then how to send back?

I do realize the liability when purchasing item outside Malaysia territory. Touch wood. so far none imported items that I have purchased online has serious issue.

If anything happens, it's just the trouble to send back to its origin, which will take more than 1 month process to get it repair. Therefore, think carefully before purchase because it's your decision.

Having said that, I'm awaiting for Huawei Malaysia to push Ascend Mate 7....

How long was the delivery process?
Did you get your phone within a week as estimated by lazada?

- Vibrate = Always On.
- Volume = Max.

Usages:
- SOT = 5h 15m 20s
- Purpose = browsing (50%), YouTube (20%), email (20%), social messages (10%).
- Camera = 5 snaps (all without flash) at 13MP.
- Video = 1 minute duration at 1080P.
- Games = None.

Current Monitoring:
- After 1d 8h 19m 24s, battery balance 10%.

Others:
- Daily "sleep" performance = 2% per night (11:00pm - 6:00am)

Indeed the auto brightness function makes the necessary adjustment for different lighting condition. In addition, it comes with a fine tune slider for the auto brightness which allows the user to dial in higher or lower screen brightness for individual preference.

I upgraded from Zenfone 5.  As for u coming from ZF6, i think the Z7 Max will be suitable for u. Very good radio performance (4G & WIFI 802.11ac). In addition, it has a very decent battery life. Split screen, PIP video and various gesture modes can be quite handy.  smile.gif

When you mentioned gesture modes, does it have off screen gestures similar to LG/1+1?
Also, just checked lelong, seller that was selling nubia z7 max for <1.2k is not listed anymore. Probably out of stock already?

To turn off screen we can apply "palm on screen" gesture, ie, the screen will turn off when the screen is covered by your palm.

For the gestures, u can do the following:

1) Double tap to turn on screen
2) Palm screen lock
3) Free screenshot (free hand to highlight area for screen shot)
4) 3 finger screenshot
5) 3 finger switch app
6) Slide down on anywhere of the screen to pull down notification area.

There's also smart sensing for answer calls, dialling numbers, etc. whereby u put the phone to your ears and it will automatically perform the tasks. There's also a gesture to tilt the phone to reduce the screen size for one hand operation.

Nice, almost exactly like oneplus
Btw, from which seller did you get your unit?
Right now, there's T-Dimension sold at 1.25k and another by Kile for 1.29k
Main difference seems to be warranty, T-Dimension has 1 year unlike Kile which is only 14 days.
How's seller reputation if anyone familiar with them?

The free screenshot can be activated by tap-hold the menu button. This feature is something like Galaxy Note.

However, the 3 finger swipe gesture to take screenshot is totally silly. If you need to take screenshot on a webpage, when you swipe 3 fingers up, the page will scroll up and then the screenshot takes place. So, you miss the content. Wish ZTE review this and replace with notification center menu to take screenshot (like in my previous Lenovo K910). Luckily the Power+Vol Down button combo still works.

Nope. Kile push the warranty to Lazada which is 14 days only. However, the packaging is properly sealed with complete accessories.

Therefore, you better pay a little bit more to get proper warranty. Limited choices though.... If you can wait (1 more month), perhaps the price will drop further and more resellers to choose from...
