I have a basic question actually but not really sure how to search for the answer in google
I'm frequently train my leg muscle to gain more strength.
To be more specific, i train at Saturday & Sunday, and then usually take full rest from Monday to Friday.
After the training at weekend, my leg muscle especially quadriceps will be sore and sometimes a little bit painful at Monday, or until the end of Tuesday. Then, I usually feel a lot better at Wednesday.
When its weekend again, I continue with the training.
My question is, is this method really help in improving my leg strength in the long run?
I'm kinda unsure, if I continue making my leg muscle sore will it slowly build my leg muscle and make them more fit and then later i won't be so easily sore and tired like now?
Or it won't help at all because my muscle being sore means it's damaging my muscle and joint tissue and it's just a waste of energy, my recovery its just recovering the soreness but doesn't help with building the desire strength?
My friend advice me to keep going on eventhough I'm feeling tired and my leg is worn out, which I know its very brutal to do so and its a harsh method that able to help, but I'm more concern I will damage my leg muscle in the long run
