Lenovo z40-70 5th gen i5 (forgot the numbers) 4gb ram 500gb HDD. Something gt820 with 2gb ram Win 8.1 64bit 14 inch fhd display. Rm1799
OK ka? Plan to use in room, hardly taken outside. Main use are just photo and video editing doing family photo albums and home movies, so photo and video editing softwares will.form the bulk of softwares inside. Only minor gaming and also watching online movies and radio streaming only.
Should I add more ram, say up to 8gb? Worth to swap the HDD to an SSD for faster photo/video processing?

QUOTE(myway1985 @ Mar 10 2015, 05:28 PM) If non moving y not get a PC.... idealtech n viewnet now got offer customized rig... Tight room space. A laptop is easily stowed away when the small table is used for something else. I did consider a mini2 kind of cpu case but still it will require too much space (cpu, monitor, keyboard and mouse) when a laptop has smaller footprint and easily removed away.

QUOTE(ashraf095 @ Mar 10 2015, 06:28 PM) Might be ok. If its me, i will pick 15.6" screen laptop for that purpose. 14" is just too small. SSD for storage is not really a good choice,i mean the price.. you will have limited space unless you dont mind to buy 512gb one (cheapest are Rm700-800) btw, where did you find z40-70 with 5th gen i5? Oh my bad, i got confused with the g50-80. Darn. It is i5-4210u, 4th gen i think.

Just an update, just bought a lenovo lappy today. Chose the z50-70 instead of z40-70 as planned earlier because wifey preferred larger screen.
Z50-70 4th gen core i5 4gb ram (didnt add another 4) Swapped the 1tb hdd to kingston 120gb ssd. Hdd put into casing become external harddisk. Rm2199 topup rm220 for ssd and rm30 for usb3 casing for hdd. If usb2.0 casing is free.
