go to 'control panel' -> 'Regional and Languages Options' -> 'Advanced' tab -> choose 'Chinese (PRC)' under 'Language for non-unicode programs'

sometimes you have to change it to traditional chinese or vice versa, because the name they originally save it using traditional chinese, so if you are just using the simplified chinese, then maybe try to switch it and see... biggrin.gif

Sorry to bring up this topic, but i dare not to open a new topic.
I still have my problem faced. see below:

QUOTE(tutiger @ Oct 2 2006, 05:46 PM)
If you are looking for the playlist,
Go to View -> Playlist Editor
This will show you your playlist, if this is what you are looking for

If you wondering why those Chinese won't come out,
you'll have to edit the Regional and Language Options in the Control Panel from English to Chinese in the Advanced Tab. Somehow, Njwin and CStar is not able to convert the ???? to Chinese in Winamp tongue.gif But Windows XP built-in will be able to get the job done thumbup.gif

This still haven't solve my problem with I pick Chinese(PRC) as Language for non-unicode Program.

Do I have to choose other Chinese(taiwan/sg/others) to solve my problem?
My current version is now 5.24. Does installing a newer version will help?

Updated to 5.3 version, still under Chinese(PRC)
some words can be seen now but not all

wat i know is, if u d/l those mp3 songs from intenet, u usually hv to retype the mp3 tag by urself bcoz if ur pc region set to PRC but u d/l the mp3 with Traditional Chinese tag, then u'll get ???(乱码), terbalik oso same. So try retype the mp3 tag and c wat happend.
