Hey girls.

So this morning I started feeling a little uncomfortable on my lower tummy area, and then it starts to hurt a little and get worse by then, and now am literally wriggling in pain on my bed.

But the thing is I haven't had my period yet, it's still clean =x
And I can't be sure when is my period because I have PCOS which causes my irregular period. But my guess is I'll be having my period soon-ish, I think.

Is there anyway to ease this pain without resorting to taking pain killer? T.T

First of all, to ease the pain...
Try to consume calcium+magnesium+vit D tablets twice daily. This would help at the moment...
But advise not to do this...

You should take some omega salmon fish oil daily to stabilize yr hormon and yr period will getting better.
Stop to consume tht if you are in period.
At part from tht, if u know yr period coming soon, try to start to eat more veges with high calcium ....
I mean veges, not meats..
Calcium will help your mussels more relax...easy the pain as well...

Hope this help.

try this simple remedy every weekend for a few months and u should see the difference : Lotus Root boiled Red Dates

ingredients (1 serving) :-

1. lotus root - about 2 inch more to 3 inch long; u may find it from supermarket/ hypermarket stores or ur nearby morning market

2. red dates - about 8 to 10 piece, all cut out the cores; or u may get the type of red dates without cores from chinese medicine stores

3. ice sugar - a little; optional; if u can take the taste without any sweetness at all then better

method:

-wash the lotus root and cut to the length for 1 serving, put together with red dates, then put in a stainless steel container, add water up to cover the top of the lotus root, then put the stainless steel container in a bigger boiler over stove

-heat up with medium level fire about 20 min, then turn to low fire about 10 more min, then off from stove

-serve when it's slightly cool down till warm --> drink the water from the mixture of lotus root + red dates

- u may reheat by adding water for the next serving to the ingredients and consume within 1 day.

Use a hot pad while you are in bed. Get lots of rest.

Have some hot ginger tea. It'll help easing the pain.

have u seen a doctor for ur pcos? if see western doctor, they will give u a medicine where u won't have period for a year to stabilise ur condition.

for me, i eat lots of red meat when mine is coming soon. before this, i was very anaemic that i rival snow white, and the traditional chinese dr advised me to take more red meat and after taking it the pain became bearable and the following month was much better though little discomfort.

lotus root is good. it will give u nourishment. was ur stomach bloated too? if yes, you can try drinking ginger tea / teh halia kosong at mamak stall. it will help to reduce the wind in ur stomach.

hope this helps.

Do you have a bathtub at home? As long as your period hasn't started, soak yourself in warm water. I think it helps for me.

Mom and ex bf often tell me not to drink cold and/or cooling stuff like iced drinks, cincau etc. Will cramp till you cry.

I have PCOS as well though mine is on the slightly serious side (period every week or two). Gained alot of weight when it started happening. The doctor gave me 3 BCPs to eat a day...it regulated my period, but the weight gain is a serious killer. I put on so much weight so rapidly that my skin started breaking, gums started swelling etc. like a preggo woman.
