To be frank, i prefer routine work which is less pressure becos i cant handle the pressure of programming when i fail to find a solution to the problem i faced......
Breathe, whenever you feel tensed. When your mind is clouded with frustration and anxiety, you will find it hard to focus and think of a solution. That's the life of being a programmer. Thinking, and coming out with better solutions for a problem. And also a determined mind. Never give up
If you prefer routine work, then kc00 is right to suggest helpdesk/support. But not much opportunity for career advancements though.
I've been a programmer for many years (since college), but now more towards high level solutions architect / design work. Once in a blue moon, I would still indulge in some programming... perhaps come out with nicey nicey widgets and tools for my work...
