To be frank, i prefer routine work which is less pressure becos i cant handle the pressure of programming when i fail to find a solution to the problem i faced......

Breathe, whenever you feel tensed. When your mind is clouded with frustration and anxiety, you will find it hard to focus and think of a solution.

That's the life of being a programmer. Thinking, and coming out with better solutions for a problem. And also a determined mind. Never give up

If you prefer routine work, then kc00 is right to suggest helpdesk/support. But not much opportunity for career advancements though.

I've been a programmer for many years (since college), but now more towards high level solutions architect / design work. Once in a blue moon, I would still indulge in some programming... perhaps come out with nicey nicey widgets and tools for my work...

There are so many avenues that you can venture if you do not find yourself loving programming. U need to be very clear what u want of course.

Which brings us back to the question: Why choose IT in the first place?

and most important, set urself a daily goal..
write down what u need to do today
which part of the program u need to finish
then work for it.. think of the logic.. ask ur senior is it ok to do like this.
then do step by step.

and now, i don't hate programming anymore.. i found it enjoyable.. and i have the success feeling whenever i done my project biggrin.gif
