Hi smile.gif
A weird message I received from Yamia.com!
I've been preparing a big list of photography related equipments from them.
Until yesterday the list was no less than 3400MR, but today I had to change my mind FULLY!.

One of the last items I wanted to add to the list is a Nikon EN-EL15 battery.
And since there are lots of counterfeit / fake items in the market worldwide, especially for this particular item.
Therefore, yesterday I sent a polite and alignment question, using very humble language asking about the battery whether its a Nikon regional item or from a third party?.
And the way to know is simply by looking at the back of the battery to determine that.

Today, 22 July, I received a shocking answer:
((Hi, All products sold are 100% genuine and sourced from authorized distributor, as for Nikon is from Nikon Malaysia.
Please get yourself a new pair of glasses so you can better view the photo in details.))

shocking.gif

I replied: ((What's your name please? The person who replied!))
Then the person referred to him/her self:
((Yamiya eStore Trading (001700044-V) ))

I then snapped and wrote (I had to use the word DUMB as much as I could):
(( (001700044-V).. I wear glasses or not, this is not your business.
This is the dumbest and rudest thing I've heard or read from a legit, I hope, business.
'Dump'.. clearly its dump to think that knowing original from FAKE Nikon battery is by looking at the dump picture provided online, where the battery only facing up!!
You have to see the BACK of the battery to determine Yamiya has dumb FAKE or original battery!!
I don't think you feel anything for Yamiya since you throwing dumb rude nonsense to their customers!!
Please don't send a thing.. Except if from your supervisor or someone with basic manners.))

And after that the person didn't stop emailing me, (001700044-V) kept on emailing me email after email until 2 hours ago!
I only reply to each email by:
((Please don't send a thing.. Except if from your supervisor or someone with basic manners.))

OOOoh maaaan.. This is very sad for such a business.. And they take no complaint in their website.
Also I spent over a month preparing the list shakehead.gif

What would you do if you were in my place guys?

OF COURSE.. With no even a fake apology?
No way I'm buying with them. Even though some parts I really need and they offering the cheapest prices, to be honest
But I found out that Cheap = Cheap!

Anyway, thanks for reading dinokun nod.gif

Perhaps you're already emailing to Yamiya him/herself. There is no supervisor because you're already "talking" to the MD. You didn't get a reply that plainly said "sorry, there is no supervisor. I'm the MD", because that will just make you so pissed off, you will immediately go somewhere else. So the person just tried to steer you around that question.

Look at the contact page, with the 3 warnings in red no less. Looks a bit rude to me. They want to reduce the amount of customer contacts to a minimum. No phone number displayed. "Don't come to our place". "These questions will be sent to the trash". By getting rid of all these "time wasting" stuff, they can reduce staff head count (perhaps to 1?), concentrate on the things that make money (like increasing the number of products on the website, marketing and promotions, etc).

If you bought something, and they sent you the wrong thing or it is faulty, could you even contact them any other way besides using the web form and email? What if they started ignoring you? I am about to start a web store myself. I've heard stories from friends about the difficulty of attracting customers. I am curious. May I ask how you came to know of yamiya, and what convinced you to decide to give them your money? There's a lot of talk these days about scams, fakes, faulty goods, delays, etc, and many customers are wary. New merchants find it hard to get noticed and trusted.

And BTW, you couldn't have ordered RM3400 of things from them. Their payment page said they're accepting orders through Paypal. And there is a MAXIMUM limit of RM2000 per order. This is a well known Paypal limitation. The customer have to verify their credit card to get over the limit. This is the reason many online merchants do not use paypal. Yamiya will probably not take the trouble to walk you through the process of how to get your credit card verified with paypal.

i brought several stuff several times from them 2-3 years back(using m2u). a little slow on shipping but no other problems,... but seeing your experience... i think i also better avoid them in future....

btw, they arent the cheapest. since my last purchase from them, i find out/shop from Shashinki (i got a lot special deals with lydia via email) got good price too. Gstrapinuse, jimmychoo(lelong, johor fellow), and mauinsons(kevin) arent bad either, they are nice to talk to too(seeing i know their name means they are nice enough to chat tongue.gif). i always strike a conversation first to know the seller/owner in person,... camera, aquariums, archery, sportbikes seller (all my hobby spendings T.T)

Thanks a lot.. I will try to contact them..
Because two of the items that I really need are only provided in Malaysia by Shashinki and Yamia.
But the price at Shashinki is way higher than the other!
But now I would try those provided names and see!
Thanks nod.gif

Are you sure? Because in my cases, shashinki given me a WAY lower price compare to yaniya. Been several years dealing with it and so far didn't encounter problem. Fast ship too.
And they answer your RMA quite fast also tongue.gif

oh by the way, what item exactly you looking for? hmm.gif

Thanks for the kind input smile.gif
The most important item is :
http://www.nikon.com.my/en_MY/product/acce...ide-copyer-es-1
And unfortunately in shashinki is 80MR higher.. I asked for a lower price, since the item's price is really 80RM lower worldwide and not only yamia. Then shashinki gave a fast and clear reply saying "Sorry, online price is already the best."
However, yamia listed the item under "pre-order". And it may take up to two months to arrive, or even more!
Anyway, I bought all my needs from ebay, in very reasonable price, and the items on the way smile.gif
