the phone is an AP set....what is a 'GPS search' app ?

I don't think this is the answer i'm looking for, or if my original question is misunderstood.


I'm aware of this, and i'm on 3G. The phone has dual sim, but only one sim can have its 3G running, the other will relegate to 2G.


The problem is I want to lock on to 3G signals only, and the phone does not offer that. It will decide automatically to lock to 3G or 2G. I need to have a manual "lock on" that I will not be bothered, even if its only 1 bar, but it will lock on to a 3G signal.

U cant lock signal even have 1 3G bar maybe ur building signal not strong

i just realize it got only 1 option lol...
that is use only 2g networks...

my previous old phones all got 3 options for preferred network type...
GSM only, WCDMA only or both.

Regarding Asus test using calculator, just key ".12345+=" from calculator pad to access SMMI Test app.
Tis is a very important for all users or atleast to new buyers to test overall system status before paying.

Has anyone attempted to root the Zenfone 5? I'm at firmware build number
ASUS_T00J_WW_user_1.16.40.7_20140724_6172 release keys - (i don't think should write this one)


So its a firmware for ASUS T00J model, with World Wide firmware (hence ww), build number 1.16.40.7 released on 24th July 2014, release build 6172.



The only reason why I want to root is to have Greenify working. Then again, the other alternative is just to press the "boost" button that Asus has it (reminds me of the older MIUI device I had)

Or, its just too risky?

why does mine doesnt have phone information after press those numbers in keypad??
