do at your own risk, if your hand shake a bit, the lens element........  icon_question.gif
btw, are you changing the autofocus motor?
but i did saw online, some ppl dissemble the lens, then assemble it back again
*
Yes for the noobies do it at your own risk, unless u super familiar with doing it. The most prone to break part is the plastic ring stuck to the metal ring if you do not know how to remove it. btw the lens element is not as fragile as you think it is. It is in one chunk liddat.

Nope i wasn't changing the af motor, I was changing the aperture diaphragm. Many lens have this issue apparently from my search of spare parts, the 18-55, 17-40 L, Tamron 10-24. Wear and tear due to lousy design by manufacturer.

Yes i did that too, disassembled almost the whole thing and assembled it back.

If anybody got any rosak L lens come sell me cheap cheap.

Just got off the phone with a technician / service rep from Canon. They gonna fix my 60D as if under warranty! Yay!

Major thumbs up and I will definitely say something nice on their FB when I get it back.
*
Congratulations bro,

but i guess it is just one day so they can close one eye.

btw canon dont really reply their fb wall, they just spam their new adverts and dont bother replying one, and many people sell their gears there.

What exact rosak ur camera? i asking since i am using the same cam. I had a flickering screen once and I was like tut*. Lucky nothing.

They replace "bottom plate". As I try to dig, it is SD board and shutter assembly but weirdly my problem is the photo cannot be saved into the SD.
*
Oh they say replace bottom plate= sd board and shutter assembly?

why replace shutter assembly in this case? stick together one?

But 50mm so small light and box so compact, and i think if you buy from online retailers they will pack nicely though.

Thanks. Shot all of that in a tutorial room.

Didn't edit the greaves and wrinkles out because
1. I was so used to seeing wrinkled convocation gowns that I find that acceptable/not distracting lol.

2. He's suppose to be doing work, wrinkles on the sides are normal.

3. If it's too much, I'll reduce then for the next batch.
Thanks for the advice.

Background is just a plain black background.
Everything else is dry ice, lightblaster and photoshop.

Oh, didn't iron wrinkle and hand crease wrinkled from folded fabric different.

But overall feel cantik, 2 thumbs up

Yes.

No wonder prices are falling for 24-70 f4L.
Now not sure to wait or?
*
From a marketing POV, IF they are new products and they were to launch it, it would not be cheaper than the current sets. But if you like the 24-70 and think the money is worth it, then by all means go ahead.

I am stopping by KL tomorrow and intend to buy a Canon 10-18 STM.

Anyone know any good deals or street price for it and where is the location of the shop. I do not mind grey unit, as cheap as can be. I would also like to trade in a 18-55.

Thanks

Will COD a 5D classic next week if nothing goes wrong.

Anything specific things that require special attention to check on the spot for such an old camera?

For me i will cycle through the modes, the buttons.

Rubber covers are sure to be brittle and i myself am not picky so meh.

Try cleaning the contact point on the camera side with the lens, i would use eraser. Do at your own risk.

Thanks smile.gif

I am not using any macro lens, just the EOS M with 22mm f2 STM lens.
After trying out a few STM lenses, I actually liked them more than USM. I think STM can make a lens smaller because it uses focus-by-wire instead of mechanical focusing. It is also a lot more quiet than USM.
*
I just bought the 10-18 stm this week and loving it.

Pro
Macro like capabilities are awesome,
Really quiet and there were few instances i was wondering "is this thing working?". I was shaking shaking the lens to make sure no broken parts.
Really wide at 10 and coupled with a tilting LCD makes great angle for landscape photography
I dunno what is this focus by wire thing, but i hope the wire last if we are talking about flex cables.
Very Fast focusing, how to not fast 10-18 only not 18-200, fast until i cannot see it focusing and was wondering "is this thing working?"

Cons
Pics looks a lil' bit stretched distorted at 10 but heck not a con for me just to inform u all.

Hope for the future
10-85 IS STM 2.8, metal mount(cause i assume it would be heavier for the extra range, i dun mind lighter getting old dy)
One lens conquer it all (My precious!!!!)

haha yeah, had the same experience when i first use the 18-135 stm. the focusing was so quiet and stealthy (nothing moving around the barrel like USM and normal motor). i think it's normal for things to get stretched and distorted at corner at that focal length?

the 10-85 would be impossible to made, UWA to 18-55 to 85 + f2.8 are simply too much to put into a lens.
*
I was using the non STM 18-135 before I sold it off to fund the 10-18, okok lah. Heavy for me, cause old liao. Never use UWA so dunno if it is common.

Oh well, it is just a wishful thought, I'm sure they could make it if they want to but as always it is about marketing, make people spend more on different lens.

This picture lighted from front left,

But i advise you to get some strobes for expansion next time, if you are tasked to shoot indoors and your natural light tak cukup, and if you pump your iso damn high, your client will complain. I got complained for first assignment cause i pump my iso too high. If your client not an editor or hippie, you are safe , won't kena complain haha.

Yongnuo cheap cheap only and can get the job done, buy some gels too or diy cause incandescent light will make the picture lari colour.

Happy shooting!
