I just own 5d mark ii. My question is during the live view. i cannot focus using shutter button. other model like 600d can focus using shutter button during live view.

I love the classic 5D! Thou may not be advance, and lack of features, but its definitely a fun to shoot with camera. Force you to think, compose, and expose properly before clicking that shutter. Cuz that screen aint gonna let u see how the pics actually look like. All the best

Has anyone shot 2 weddings back to back before?

I am about to experience the busiest weekend of my life in 2 weeks, flying back from hong kong and arriving Kuching at 11.45pm on the 21st Nov.
Wedding day on 22nd (5am start)
Wedding day on 23rd (4.30am start)

Never experienced this before. Anyone to share your thoughts?

1. 5D1 and 5D2 are using the same AF module hence the AF still bad. Lost hunt in low light
1K is not enough for entire one. Until you find a weakpoint which cant withstand, you will know what you need.

May want to consider 6D over 5D1

5D2 is too old now...and ISO isn't way greater. 6D is the one if budget is limited.

stay with what you have then. Ask yourself HOW MANY % you really in those LOWlight environment.

IMO the only limiting factor of the 6D is the low AF points. If you don't shoot much action/sports/wildlife the 6D is still a good buy. There isn't a big difference in the ISO performance compared to all the newer more exp models.

I'll go with 5D3 anytime.

get A7 series.      lighter and better ISO

Trade in your 5D with a used 6D i think you just have to top up less than RM3k?

Trade in any spare lenses which you hardly use as well la, might be able to drop below 2 or even 1k as well! 

lol top up another 1400 you can get a used 6D from KLDSLR
maybe nego a bit with them to just top up with 1200 

1) anyday, with 2) you gain 1 stop more light but losing 3 stops of IS so at the end you lost more instead. a used 24-70 f2.8 should costs more than 5d2 also I think.

EDIT: Not to mention you'll have to shoot at f2.8 resulting thinner DOF.

I would upgrade body first.  I can't imagine shooting without my 6D and its fearless ISO capabilities.  No fear of not so well lit situations.  With this camera body you have no more excuses to why you didn't get a good shot and can only blame skills.  6D combo with 24-105 has been awesome!  A beastly combo already!  But sometimes I will leave this beastly combo at home and take my eos m because its just soso much lighter  

I just recently got a Tamron 24-70mm F2.8.  Only real difference is that 70mm f2.8 is more bokehlicious than 105mm f4.  So I don't have to bother switching to a prime lens to get that kind of photos.  Besides DOF I don't really see this highly rated Tamron lens outshining the Canon 24-105mm much at f4, f8 and so on.

Well, once 5D4 comes out, 5D2 price will drop by 30-40%..
But 5D4 is something like Half-life 3 now, so many rumors but nothing solid on it's specs and when it'll be out.
