Eh? Using high performance heatsink didn't check on it's performance???......

Just interested to know as I want to compare to my stock NB heatsink. On my naked rig, the highest it would go is 44'c. When I put a fan to blow on it, it would drop to 38'c.....

I'm still new to this concept of NB heatsink as I was using AMD64 prior to this....

LOL...Not really remember the performance of it though. But if you would ask me in comparison with stock NB hsf, the Noctua & TR is at least more than 5c cooler than it even on passive mode.

Passive Chipset Fan anyone?

CeBIT 2008: MSI Shows Passive Fan for Chipset

he ECOlution (the developed by the Taiwanese Polo-Tech) is a passive fan for northbridge. What we mean by passive fan is that this cooling system doesn't need a fan when the chip is idle. However, when in peak, the heat generated by the chipset is used to dilate a gas that will move a piston that in turn will move the blades of the fan that's placed in front of the heat sink's extension linked with 2 heat pipes.

Anyone wanna try to OC with this baby? LOL...Its still a prototype though. tongue.gif
