I'm using NC-U6 stock mounting, push pin that is, any idea how to get a better mounting rather than the stock mounting?

I'll google for it.

By the way, the chipset heatsink from zaward that you linked sure is weird.

Nope, X38 is the only chipset in the world that has IHS covering the die. smile.gif

boss the shim pad works.. how the hell u knw got vibraions? u holding it kah? even have it wont damage teh core...

and this is thru my experience... plus to get mounting pressure , neveer heard of screw nuts and bolts ah? simple only... cost u less than 2 bucks...  : rclxub.gif
*
I'm talking about vibrations that will coz less heat transfer, i didn't talk about damaging the core.
Find a post of mine where i talk about damaging the core.

Yeah, i may be wrong about the screw and nuts, but i'm not using em, i'm talking about the stock mounting retention.

I may be wrong, and you may be cleverer than i, but you don't have to be so harsh in talking to people.
What's wrong with talking politely to others?

Does it cost you RM100 to talk politely? shakehead.gif

bro u were implying it ( damaged core) and im talking like this coz im getting sick of people not researching their claims first... this is what killing or forums... inconsistencies in facts leading to many newbies getting it wrong... im not saying all ur posts are not right.. its just this one post bout the x38 ihs...  im notbeing harsh.. im being direct...  what does teh rm 100 got to do with anything?
*
I did not imply anything about damaged core.
I'm talking about when the heatsink vibrates, then the base of the heatsink won't be stable, means it will vibrate and the base would not have a good contact with the chipset die.

I repeat, "I NEVER TALK ABOUT DAMAGING CHIPSET DIE",
I'm talking about vibrations that will cause bad contact between heatsink base and chipset die [core].

Find a post where i said about damaging chipset core.
Find it, i'll pay you RM1000.

Dare enough?
U are harsh, people don't see themselves when they make mistake, but i, i make mistake, and i admit it.

But then why do you need to be harsh?
Can't you learn to talk properly?

Even if you want to get the facts straight, i don't see any reason why you can't talk politely.
About the RM100, i asked you, does it cost you money to talk politely?

No right?
Then, learn to talk politely.

About the X38, yeah, i'm wrong, how many times do you have to repeat it?
I already admit in the post before you, man, you are just the same as TomatomanzSeedlezz, a kind of people who loves to repeat about someone else mistake over and over again. shakehead.gif

EDIT:
Don't talk to me about the springs, i'm not that stupid not to know why the springs are on the push pin.

Duh!
Repeating about me talking about damaging core again and again. doh.gif
what part of nay doesn't thou understand?

Yeah, u didn't call me stupid, but the way you talk about the springs stuff sounds like i'm so stupid that i don't even know what the springs are for.

Whatever skintube.

Yeah, you're always right, and i'm always wrong.
I'm done here with you.

Wow, at least a new comer can understand what i'm trying to point out, but all this while a so called "senior member" see what i post as damaging nb core.

K3N, you have my respect as a new comer that can easily understand what i'm trying to say. notworthy.gif

Wow, you're offended by the word skin tube?
Did you even understand the meaning of it?
If you understand the meaning of it, you wouldn't be offended at all.

lolhalol, i'm going to explain this one time, if you still can't understand what i'm trying to say, then seriously, i don't know how to explain it to you again.

I'm talking about high speed fan that will cause vibrations.
When there is too much vibrations, the heatsink will "goyang" a lil bit, thus, it will affect the contact between the NB Core & the NB HSF.

And when the contact between the core and the nb hsf base is lessen caused by the vibrations, the heat transfer will be affected too.

This is what i'm trying to say from the start.
And if you still think i'm talking about damaging the NB core, i don't know how to explain anymore.

This will be my last post on trying to explain about the vibrations. smile.gif

Again with the X38 chipset. shakehead.gif

No matter how many times i repeat the same thing again and again you won't understand it do ya? doh.gif

Go here & read it:

That's my last explanation to you about the whole thing i'm talking about.
If you can't understand simple english, then i don't know what to say to you anymore.

I grow tired of explaining the same thing over and over again to you. shakehead.gif

Okay then, now mind accepting your mistake about the vibrations?

And mind pulling back your words that i'm implying the vibrations will kill the nb chipset when i did not say that?
Find anyone here that agrees with you about me implying that vibrations will kill the nb chipset, no one said that i did imply that vibrations will kill nb hsf except you. smile.gif

See either you're willing to accept your mistake or not. whistling.gif

Evercool Serpent...but it has poor reviews.

That's because that chipset heatsink is a poorly designed chipset cooler.
The heatpipes aren't connected well with the heatsink base. shakehead.gif
