Tried the snooze thingy with my current Mi3 (Latest Dev ROM) & spare Mi3 (Stock MY ROM)
I can confirm that on both ROMs, the snooze "X" are there.

So it must be something else that caused the "X" not to appear on your phone. Maybe there's a setting that was turned off?

Every company takes our data but I think the issues raised in the forums about Xiaomi & Baidu was that they never disclosed anything nor what are their plans with the data.

At least with FB for example, we know they're using it to have targeted ads for more revenue streams.

If you use latest dev rom with kitkat & google camera, you can see a lot of difference.

The problem is in the algorhythm of the camera rather than the hardware itself.
I don't think Xiaomi have a dedicated image departments like Sony or Lumia, hence the mediocre performance on stock camera

It will be better than the stock camera, but nothing beats a well written camera algorhythm.

If MIUI V6 *cross fingers* were to come out soon, I guess they should come with a better camera

Maybe DirectD sourced it from Philippines then. A friend bought there and received Taiwan ROM.

Cons:
You can brick your phone aka useless brick cannot turn on tongue.gif

Pros:
Nowadays, you can only brick if you downloaded wrong ROM (ie: TD version instead of WCDMA).
And MIUI has 2 systems with 1 as a backup. So in case you screw up the 1st one, you can still reboot to System 2.

Anyone knows what actually MIUI Car Mode does?

Tried googling but can't find actual documentation about it or maybe I missed.

The slightest info I got is that it is a mode that pick up incoming calls and connect the speaker automatically.

I'm using it with my Nexus.

I don't it is warez as the author himself ranted in his website about twitter phasing out 3rd party twitter apps in favor of their own, hence the limited token.

Since the app is already endorsed by the author, and i never read any article from twitter prohibiting such actions (if any then I apologize), so i guess its okay to share here laugh.gif

It's because of the file structure, it is somewhat encrypted & windows doesn't have permission to read.
If you backup with encryption enabled, more worse, you can't even access the backup folder, got disc icon sweat.gif

It's a bug, some other devices also have.
Because google camera is for nexus devices with vanilla rom, so when you have heavily coded roms like MIUI, bugs bound to happen.

A fix should come sooner or later.

Well, for me I just use OTG drive, faster & easier.

But if have none, you can always zip the folder & share to dropbox or to PC through FTP method or AirDroid laugh.gif

By default no, most ART in custom roms were done by different cooks, too much hassle but doable.
So now Android L is ART by default, but i guess MIUI will only use Android L in like what, next year?

Correct.

Phones don't have circuitry to show direction of current per se, but can estimate.
Use Battery Monitor Widget to understand, ie:

1. On idle, can show "+400mA or 0.4A" which means the phone is using 0.4A of juice
2. On charging, can show "-1200mA or 1.2A". It's not really taking in 1.2A, because it already offset the idle current flow. So the amount going in is about 1.6A laugh.gif

Most battery can take in 2A but I suspect it was limited to 1.6A due to heat. During charging, can reach 45 degrees wooo sweat.gif
