Bro, it's ok to show off the casing and the appearance of your new toy. But please la. At least you should know about the limit of your phone. Mi3 mana ada LTE 4G. If got 4G, the amount of MI3 users would increased tremendously and we would have reached thread V20 by now. laugh.gif  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

Don't lar hit him back like that, everyone can be proud and wanted to share a product that looks good on his phone, I know I would if I like the casing that much. He already might be a victim of fake MI3, so give him a break....although I have to say, that is a high quality fake, have better feature than MI3...

Yeap. Used the stock charger, plugged to PC, plugged to power bank, used another USB charger. Battery still draining.
*
Final step, shut down the phone. Then charge. After abt 15 minutes, if it is still not charging with any one of your charger, then you might have a batt problem or charging port problems. Do try with all your chargers, just in case. Make sure your charger are at least 1 amp.

If it start charging alright, then that means you might have rogue apps running in your phone background. Then check here for steps to identify rogue apps that drain your batt.

Been wondering why with same galaxy note 2/s4 charger, one of my 10k battery heat up when charging the pb. The other pb with same type of note 2 charger is still cool. Then finally realise one of the charger is super hot, still charging but very hot. Immediately ran down to buy another original note 2 charger at RM60. Plug in the heated battery, after a while it cool down the same with the other pb.

So for those not in the know, the 10K pb when charging is always cool, not even warm. So if it started heating up even a bit, watch out, it might also not be the batt but the charger.

Wondering if that charger is the cause of my S4 batt life getting much shorter recently, spoiling my S4 batt after a year.

Using GSam battery app, the charging rate for my S4 using its 2amp charger is 1200mah. So I can safely assume S4 has a max input of 1.2amp charging.

However MI3 gsam indicated -900mah to -1000++mah for 2amp charging. It goes -600++mah for 1 amp stock charging. Any idea how to read this...

1.2A max for Mi3 as well. Tried with Mi Powerbanks rated at 2A.

Any apps that can read accurately for MI3. Gsam seems accurate enuf for S4 but MI3 gives weird numbers...

btw One of my 2 10K pb seems to have shorter life. Now testing if can re-charge MI3 full charge twice or not. Using a single charge from 4% with a fresh 10K pb wear the pb down to 50% liao...

MI4 will likely come late in the year unless XM can muster enuf stock to cater for both China and external market. If one already own MI3,

I don't see much reason to upgrade to MI4 except for the look alone as the improvement otherwise is not warrant it unless some guys (there are lots of such guys) are loaded and switch phone like one night stand gf.

However once LTE version comes in, that is another level of play liao.

Kinda agree, correct me if i am wrong but i stand strong to say that with the price difference of rm300, for a 16gb, the specs are not really that "up" compared to a mi3..

Elsewise, whats worth the wait would be the miband~~

And I'm waiting for MiPad.

Although iPad mini 2 pricing might also be close or not, its troublesome transfer makes and picture conversion and formatting makes its very troublesome to constantly transfer pics from camera or phones to the pad for viewing. MiPad with its copy and paste via PC and phones makes it a breeze to just transfer anything into the pad for photo viewing. That's the main purpose of getting the pad coz its the only one with display resolution that can match Samsung S/Pro tablet series with ipads and yet the pricing is within our reach.

But you can't really compare with iPad Mini 2. The reason is iPad Mini 2 absolutely trounced any android tablet.

About pic transfer, just connect the Microsd/USB thumb drive to iPad Mini 2 la (Camera connection kit). What so hard????  doh.gif

If you're using Maxis, don't. Other Telco, I guess its ok but there are still unsolved bugs. Some are waiting for the bugs to be solved, some lives with it, some did not encounter it. Since its new phone, factory reset it after installation should be good.

My wife's MI3 occasional asked to re-key in google account id and password. Its like the google id is reset. Same with wifi, occasional cannot connect automatically and have to access the wifi setting to manually connect it to my router (config ok, just have to re-connect manually).

My daughter's MI3 has no such issue.

Quite disappointed with call quality of MI3 when on loudspeaker when driving. Its noise cancellation is really lousy thus there is a lot of background noise with lost audio and sharp noise for the other party. Its audio is too soft for MI3 user.

Even my wife and my ex-S2 is MUCH better at it with clear voice.

So MI3 weakness seems to be its most basic feature, the phone calls via loudspeaker.

For some, this feature is not critical but for those usually on the go/driving, its critical. I'm fairly disappointed at it.

I'm a middle age man lar, not yet old.

I've keen hearing and always clean my ears except when my wife ask me to do something, sometimes I cannot hear at all.... whistling.gif

Its the call audio quality via loudspeaker that is in question. Subpar loudspeaker call audio quality with sharp noise and almost no cancellation to the other side makes it difficult to hear thus need louder audio. When its quiet on my side (S4), then audio volume need not be high.

Did you use any kind of casing that block the noice cancelation mic?
One at the top, the other one near to camera flash.
*
The casing is Malaysia MI3 compatible with exposed noise cancellation hole beside the camera and top.

Hmm seems like need to do a bit research on it as i dont want to decrease my battery life. Lg G2 came with a 1.8A charger while it has a 3000mah battery. Mi 3 has 3050mah battery which is why I was wondering.
*
Cost cutting. LG does not comes with the minimal price of MI3. MI3 have to reduce cost somewhere while giving higher cost/spec features.

A few function not working properly on English version, example lock screen.

But it working perfectly on Chinese Version.  smile.gif

Although it does ok in MI3 due to its larger and new battery, the app seems to be noticeably consuming abt 5-8% of my S4's one year old degraded battery making it one of the highest background battery consuming app in my phone.

My don't, i am using latest chinese mikey apps 1.6.2.
*
Just installed 1.7 Chinese linked by kopipeng above.

It will update the existing 1.6 (without the need to uninstall it first).

On my S4, I notice 2 improvement straight away.

On 1.6, whenever I access the app and exited, the main app does not exit in the memory. I have to go into S4 running app widget to forcefully exit it. It was solved in 1.7.

Don't know if its placebo effect, while there is a bit of delay on 1.6 Chinese when activating the click functions (ie, 1 click - unlock, 2-click torch, 3 click-s-memo, etc), the delay seems to be gone for now.

The flow and smoothness seems improved for now. Now gonna see if it still eat my batt noticeably like the previous version.
