recovery mode is entered by rebooting the box while pressing the home & option button on the remote. keep these pressed until the first screen disappears. you should get into recovery mode

when play irss player, before it start playing, it will show the advertisement, the root cause that you were unable to play is because the advertisement failed to pop up, I have tried it on mibox, it will only works after you root and install google play.

update: install google play without root works too.

Xbmc ui not so user friendly if u use TV controller.
It is menu based, quite slow when browses for online video even on famous video addon.
If you know how to use it, then you will never need to go DVD shop.
Too many addon to play around with XBMC, you can search XBMC in youtube for all thr tutorial.
Fyi, XBMC has been renamed to kodi.

Hmm.. So if 4mbps streamyx, is it still lag? This is because my residential area does not have Unifi service coverage.

What about those uk or taiwan or hk channels such as Fox movies, TVBS asia, Fox sports, TVB channels (Not need astro on demand channel.. useless channel one as same as HK TVB Channel... )? Is it compulsory need to pay yearly/monthly subscriptions fee? Kindly advice so that I will know how should I do.

4mbps is more than enough to play iptv. previous I help to install pandaabuy jailbreak which has iptv trial.(not earning anything from this)
