what the hell is wrong? I tried downloading the 480p one TWICE and on both occasions just when it was about to reach 100% my download manager would give a 401 Access Denied error message. 100mb wasted already.

Transformers isnt shot in 3D afaik.

btw i think its safe to say that Transformers is my most anticipated blockbuster movie of 2007. not even POTC3 and and spiderman 3... though I REALLY want to watch Zodiac.

there is a review in Malaysian Today, they gave it 5/5 stars but all their reviews suck anyway. I wonder how they managed to watch it... sounds bogus to me lol.

ghost rider wasnt really hyped much. almost no one expected it to be good and they were right.

btw the bonecrusher clip is 50mb quite large and rapidshare is slow.

I dont think its been leaked yet, since its only been screened in a few places... but if it is indeed leaked, then the question is why the hell would you watch a blurry cam version on your pc rather than spend rm10 and experience it like it was intended on a big screen?

aargh all my friends are planning on watching it next week because of exams and classes... but I REALLY want to watch it this friday lol. I cant remember the last time I wanted to see a movie this badly.

For those who are going to watch it tonight or tomorrow please post how great (or bad) the movie is here. If the response is unanimously great then I just might watch it alone this friday, something which I've not done before.

and I damn myself for clicking Yue's signature... didnt notice it was a transformers spoiler lol.

To me this would have been an awesome action movie....... but it had one major flaw - the damn shots just won't linger! And the camera was always too zoomed in on the robots.

The plot was okay, the acting from Shia LaBeouf is pretty good (good comic timing by him), the pacing and flow good, the humour, the CGI mostly awesome... but the action scenes!! Gah it's just so frustrating to me because this could have been the coolest, most badass action flick since Terminator 2.

The camera just won't stop moving, and all we usually get to see is the transformers' belly and arm or head, never the entire thing when they are fighting (and when we do see the whole body it cuts to another scene 0.23 seconds later). Sorry kobe but I did get that "I would have done this another way" feeling when I was watching the action scenes . I guess I should have expected this from an mtv director like Bay, but dammit I really regret not having longer shots like in T2.

Seriously, there wasn't a single scene in this movie that was cooler than when the T-800 climbed onto that liquid-nitrogen truck and pumped a whole mag of an M16 point blank into the T-1000. And even that wasnt the best scene from T2. lol okay so maybe I'm comparing too much to T2 but I consider T2 to be the best pure action movie, the kind that where the action and gunfights and explosions take precedence over everything else... oh and Bay's explosions have always been massive, but here... I dunno... I would have liked if the rockets blew up with bigger and more flames lol.

Frenzy was kinda annoying as well, like a slightly less annoying Jar Jar Binks. The other Transformers were all cool though, I would have preferred Optimus without moving lips and just the mouthshield but he's still awesome! Megatron was a bit of a letdown but Starscream is the best here. Bonecrusher died way too easily. And the supposedly "massive, intense" fight between Optimus and Megatron was seriously a letdown... they barely had a go at each other!

The CGI was great but the fast shots really underwhelmed it, heck come to think of it they probably went for the super-fast cuts to minimize the cost. No wonder it only cost $150mil.

Other than that the movie is a blast. Too bad the camera stopped it from being great. 7.5/10.

P/S: Am I the only one who thought the coolest scene was the Nokiabot... damn he had miniguns (I mean mini literally lol) and rockets!

I mean not 50 ft away la... just enough for us to see the whole thing, and the camera can move, just dont jerk it and tilt it sideways all the time. IMO.

most of the scenes were either way too zoomed in or too zoomed out (like the scorponok scene).

so far only 4 reviews la.

You must have missed it then, coz Barricade was scared shitless when he saw Optimus behead Bonecrusher and he reconfigured to an ice-cream truck and ran off. Coward.

I'm going to watch this again this wednesday because I already promised my other bunch of friends I would watch with them, right now I'm giving this a 7 or 7.5 lets see if it stays the same after a second viewing.

BTW, did anyone hear a high-pitch laugh from a woman during the movie? A really loud one, probably some obese and obnoxious woman lol. I read that other people heard it as well and I thought it was from the audience.

really? I thought it was really poor. We barely see 2 or 3 frames and he's fully transformed into the car already. Poor if you ask me.

btw good but definitely not great, because of the lame battles and stupid camerawork and quick-cuts and close-up shots.
