funny I remember reading that somewhere...

I liked the movie but I must admit I was very disappointed with the action scenes. Everything was blurry metal bunch of close-ups. I want the movie to ear loads of $$$ so the sequel will have a bigger budget and wont have to rely on cheap quick editing camera tricks to wow the audience. I want to see truly awesome CGI not blurry CGI for chrissakes.

I just saw the movie for a second time and I must say I enjoyed it much better, mainly because I knew what to expect and the action scenes no longer disappointed me.

I would give this an 8 or 8.5/10. Sunshine is still the best movie from this year that I've seen but Transformers is tied with POTC3 for second place. smile.gif

The autobots' faces are shit ugly though, especially Ratchet (his vehicle mode is **** ugly as well) and IronHide. Prime's lips make him look like shit as well, they should damn well keep his mouthshield on for the sequel. The Decepticons all look way cool though (except Frenzy), especially Bonecrusher, Blackout, Devastator and Barricade. Starscream should have had a lot more screentime he kicked the most ass... in fact all the decepticons (except Frenzy again) should have had more screentime.

btw in other countries there was a trailer before the move for a top secret project by JJ Abrams codenamed Cloverfield. I saw the blurry cam version and it looked sweet. Filmed like Blair Witch Project. Why didnt they show it here...

yea...clogging up the counters for ppl like me who just wanted to watch Die Hard
*
they should open a few counters just for transformers and maybe two booths for die hard and the rest for the other shows. GSC midvalley does that sometimes... I went on wednesday at 1.30pm and had to queue for 40 minutes just to get 5 THIRD-ROW tix for the 3.30 show. They had 3 screens showing 2.30 and 3.30 shows and 1 screen for a 3pm show I think... 7 screens altogether and I only managed to get third row.

btw Bumblebee didnt destroy Barricade... merely knocked him out. Dunno what happened to Barricade after the highway scene.

I highly doubt that was an editing error. Wiki can be edited by anyone.

I didn't realize it myself until I read ppl's post and review. It is to be said that OP crushes Barricade after he crushes Bonecrusher. Probably in the movie, Bay wanna make some changes or he forgot about Barricade or having that scene makes the movie longer tongue.gif
Yes Wiki can be edited by anyone, but one who already read the comic proves it is the truth smile.gif

well the movie doesnt have to strictly follow the comics right? tongue.gif

I think the rock music soundtrack spoilt everything. J.Williams should give this movie an epic feel.
*
yeah but I thought the music in 3 scenes were great:

- The opening narration by OP.
- The scorponok attack on the village.
- And the best being the landing and introduction of the autobots.

well this is the kind of movie that upon its release you see people shouting "OMG WOW BEST MOVIE. EVER!" and then a year or two later gets pretty much forgotten. Think Independence Day.

Unlikely, this is Transformers we're talking about. One that's a huge franchise with a big following, unlike ID4. Moreover the animated 1986 movie was a favorite and still talked about among alot of fans despite it flopped during the time.  cool.gif
*
Talked among TF fans... yes. Talked among regular moviegoers... no. And I think we can safely say that over 90% of those who watched Transformers were not fans of any of the Transformers animated series/1986 movie.

Independence Day isnt forgotten!! Its still awesome entertainment. Hard to find a better big dumb summer blockbuster. Its a 'classic'. biggrin.gif

haha... I remember watching in when I was 8 and saying it was the best movie ever lol. Its still fun now but I wont watch it again anytime soon. tongue.gif

oh and yea that mega explosion still rocks! laugh.gif Transformers didnt have a single scene as memorable as that.
