After using this phone for 2 days... I think the value for paid for the device is good. we get a decent 5 incher, with 720p, a 2GB ram and decent battery life. its smooth for daily usage.

What I like most is the ability to control startup apps and protected apps which my note 3 does not have. I think it is similar to greenify - correct me if I'm wrong.

Some shops offer additional year warranty if buy from them instead of vmall. So you get 1 yr huawei warranty + 1 year shop warranty. After 2 years, it probably makes more sense to buy a new unit than to repair since a 8 core phone will be budget device by then...

Why is whatsapp not getting notification when it is already in protected mode, notification is set to show always and power setting is in smart ? The issue seems intermittent says my daughter.

This is fixed in android 4.3 and above with proper TRIM support.

I don't use the phone and my daughter don't let me use her phone (which I bought). The solution has to be non-root and stock firmware, unfortunately.

I want to get another 3c. But looks like have to settle with 3c lite. It looks like the main difference is the battery is smaller and the ram only 1gb.

Has anybody used both? Care to comment on the battery life, performance, etc.

Oh my goodness. I just downloaded the manual to update to emui3. How come they need to come up with a MANUAL? I think it will not go well with normal users who prefers to press one button for update.

Security - that's how android gets fixes. Its something people don't see or seem to care. That's why iOS is better this point as people update consistently.

API level is 19 in KK. 18 in Android4.3 and 17 in 4.2... From a developer view, it adds more and more functions so we will see that apps will sooner or later need some minimum requirement.

From a normal user perspective however, KK is more polished and better ram management for low ram devices.

to be honest, I prefer KK to lolly but I still move because of security.

Why is there no official Honor 4c thread? Is the phone not good ? Or is there somewhere I can still get a 3c half the price of 4c ?
