I had, sorry for the language ... no bloody f***ing idea such thread existed for the humble city till today while i was searching for ways to tackle one problem (more on that later). Super nice thread and already v3 guess i am such a slowpoke lol. Anyway City owner here for about 1.5 months already (details below)

Car = City
Model = V spec
Color = Black (duh! why would i want other colors haha smile.gif )

Alright 1 major issue or rather the stupidity of Honda Malaysia I have with them is the lack of the ability to watch video while on the go for safety reason, WTH !!
any idiot knows the driver won't watch movie while he is driving duh ~ its for the passengers and gps usage!!
so i saw on page 1 the bypass solution for screen mirroring ... I have a couple of question hope sifus can help.

1. Does method 2,3,4 voids warranty ? or only method 1 does voids ?
2. after installing the bypass (any method) does it only allows screen mirroring while driving or also allows watching movie/videos on the USB during motion/driving ?

P.S does installing the RM450 reverse camera (or any other brands) also voids the honda warranty ?

Went to Kah Motor Chan Sow Lin to service my car just now, really disappointed to see after they finished, got scratch on the bodykit of my car. I complaint to them, at first they didn't want to admit, finally after talk to manager etc, only then they agreed to reimburse me by painting back my bodykit. Really disappointed with their services. Now i have to send my car there again and leave for 2 days for them to paint back my bodykit. Wasting my time.

usually while they are servicing your car, do you wait at the waiting area or go down to the service area and see what they are doing ?
cause you are very lucky they decides to reimburse you... i know many wouldn't get reimburse back.
i always go down to the service area and see my car and what those personal are doing ... its the only way to make absolutely sure else they can simply change your parts you also won't know.

Honda SC will always tell you that you can't go into the service area but who will check ?
I did mine at the USJ branch, just dont use the main door to service area ... go by the sides.

Definitely after i went to SC. These people are so in trouble. I just called and complain to Honda Malaysia too. Will wait now and see what action they gonna take after this to rectify the problem.
I can only see from the mirror on the second floor bro while they servicing my car. They didnt allow customers to go the servicing workshop area. They wanna reimburse me, but still give me a trouble la to send and leave the car there for 2 days.
*
I see bro ... i think you need to PR a little with the technician or maybe "brother brother a bit" cause i went with my colleague 3 weeks back for his repairs (same branch as yours the chan sow lin kah motors) and both of us were beside the technician the whole time he repair my colleague's car (it was my idea to stand and watch)

and I was beside my car at the service area when i took it for first service at USJ branch. call me scaredy cat but i cant help but worry they will simply switch my parts sad.gif

sa told me the car was supposed to be arriving in Nov, but after reading this, im pretty sure my car hasn't arrived yet,  i don't know how some people manage to wait for 3 months, 1 week already feels like months..
*
3 months is quite long actually .... usually its around 2 months or less when there is no or not much stock.
I got my car (V spec) approx. 5 weeks from the day i deposit RM 750 less than the 2 mths my SA said so i am lucky i guess. the wait is good though, you tend to appreciate your car more smile.gif

P.S Can some kind soul post some links to where i can get a HDMI MHL cable for mirroring my s4 to HU ? I cant find any suitable ones at lowyat sadly

I just finish DIY the bypass cable and let me just say this i thought its easy but it's so damn hard to maneuver around inside under the HU, to say the space is small and compact is an understatement cause its very very narrow i can never get more that 1 finger to absolutely move freely and its at an acute angle makes it all the more tedious. i got scratches all over both arm. lucky i dont have big hands, if you got big arms or a build physique you gonna have a hard time.

Roof sound proofing .. yes u definitely need it...

there r many options out there. Stp from rm 3xx but not recommended due to the material , not reli suitable for roof
as dor the roof we usually recommend to get our current promotion for Silent Coat at omly Rm 5xx , significant improvement u can expect.
Tq for the tag bro hehe
*
so bro you can do the soundproofing ? May I know where is your shop located ?
was thinking of getting mine done a decent one is enough, dont want lousy quality or too good quality.

Ask back honda SC. They got paint shop. My Honda SC, Kah Motor.
*
i dont really want to ask honda SC cause they will surely recommend shops with fairly high price.
mine has only minor scratches with 1 slight deep one (will post photo later cause here very heavy rain)
was hoping someone here could recommend a good paint job shop at a decent price.

QUOTE(budak minyak @ Nov 9 2014, 12:27 PM)
I stepped the pedal very gently, but still the fc shows 10km/l. Im not a heavy footer. And this happens even when i on the eco button.

For petrol use i think i always campur2. Sometimes i use petron, haven't finished, i topup with caltex, havent finished, i topup with Petronas. Is it bcoz of mix fuel brands that impact my current FC?
*
Mixing fuel does not affect much, I did some research of my own using petronas, bhp, shell, caltex, mobil they all average ~ 13km/l (on normal conditions with slight jam) and around 11-12km/l when in bad jams like at kesas and ldp in the morning / evening. I also get the same km/l mixing fuel of different brands
Sometimes i get as low as 9km/l but thats because I put the pedal to the metal smile.gif
(all this is without pressing the Eco button)

P.S roughly how much mileage do you all get total on a full tank ? (40 liters) (want to do some comparison ~)

Just go ah Beng Acc shop add amp n subwoofer will do. Haha.If got money to spare, add component set.
Easy job
*
that would void the delicate warranty that we all care so dearly. honestly I am also disappointed with the audio system too. sadly no $$ching $$ ching$$ to do anything about it. my priority now is to get a good sound proofing for the roof
(damn honestly sounds like milo tin !!)

Here is an advise from car owner and expert who tell me.

Manual
1. Don't accelerate high when start your car - less than 1000km
2. Don't brake too hard when less than 300km

Expert-
1. Don't accelerate high when start your car - 2000km

Recommended to maintain less than 120km/h.
*
Actually what I hear and accumulate from experts + car professionals is;
- don't accelerate fast/high or pass 100km/h until your first service (1000km)

after that you can drive as you like. In my case I did not exceed more than 80km/h (sometimes people show finger at me cause drive slow lol) until my 100km service then everything stable from SC only i drive as i like.
