Any discounts offered by any Honda SA for the City at the moment?
Also, wanna ask the owners here. Do you guys get the alternating free service up till 100k km or something like that? How does that work actually?

QUOTE(ykyloveu @ Oct 16 2014, 04:08 PM) Hi...All...Need to clarify on the downpayment related matter.... I have booked a V-Spec and deposit already paid previously... The Loan Agreement is ready to sign now and thus SA asked me to sign the said agreement (65K Loan) and also make the balance downpayment before his company can proceed to register the car with JPJ and etc... Now my question is.....is this the normal procedure as I seen other mentioned that they saw the car 1st only then pay the downpayment... Ask your SA whether your car arrived already or not? If not arrived yet, don't pay first lor..no rush.

Any E or S+ or S spec owners here have changed their stock tyres? I understand Honda is giving Goodyear GT3 as stock and it's a very basic tyre that isn't all that quiet or give enough grip in the wet.

QUOTE(city2014 @ Oct 20 2014, 05:47 PM) Also, i tried to sound the alarm by purposely letting one door open and locking the doors with remote, there is no alarm at all...any idea? QUOTE(Skeletonman @ Oct 20 2014, 05:51 PM) I face the same thing. My bonet open and I lock the car but no alarm.. I wonder if this car has no alarm =.= Some car alarm systems have to wait 20 seconds or so before the sound comes on. Maybe in the manual it will state.

QUOTE(budak minyak @ Oct 23 2014, 02:24 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Went to Kah Motor Chan Sow Lin to service my car just now, really disappointed to see after they finished, got scratch on the bodykit of my car. I complaint to them, at first they didn't want to admit, finally after talk to manager etc, only then they agreed to reimburse me by painting back my bodykit. Really disappointed with their services. Now i have to send my car there again and leave for 2 days for them to paint back my bodykit. Wasting my time.

QUOTE(szebing7 @ Nov 5 2014, 12:56 AM) Hi very interested in the city v spec.. any sa here that can give best promotion? When I test drove it the first two things that straightaway I realise is the tyre and engine noise is quite loud. Took me by surprise actually but to owners here is it actually that bad? I see the majority of posts also talk about sound proofing (which I rather not do). How bad is it. Engine's not loud. To me it's quiet enough. Perhaps the air cond compressor is a little louder than I'd expected. Only downside for me regarding noise is probably when heavy raindrops hit the roof. Not enough sound-proofing for the roof for me but it doesn't rain every time when I'm driving so I can live with it.

QUOTE(Dexter @ Nov 6 2014, 02:24 PM) do u mean we can use cash rebate (for eg. 5k) as part of our 10% downpayment is it? Lets say RM83k (e-spec), RM8.3k - 5k ... we only need to pay 3.3k only as downpayment. Do they allow us to swipe credit card for this 10% downpayment? Yes the cash rebate from Honda and whatever discount the SA offers you will be part of your downpayment. As for CC usage for downpayment, should be possible but I'm not entirely certain about it.

QUOTE(Garyu87 @ Nov 7 2014, 02:38 PM) Hi Guys, I am planning to get Honda City E Spec and I am from Seremban but before doing so, I would like to ask some question to assist me in buying the car and also add some other good stuffs. Today, I went to the Honda and the SA has given me the following and price and gift: 1. Honda Rebate 3,000 + SA Rebate 1,000 = 4,000 Rebate 2. Free Gifts = Full Petrol + Smart Tag + tinted voucher (got other Honda gifts but didn't tell me what it is) So, are those given price and items okay? As the previous pages got some people mentioned that can get from 4.5K to 5.5K? If you already have a Smart Tag or if you don't have one and you feel it's necessary, by all means include it as a free gift. Otherwise, tell your SA you don't need it and nego for a slightly higher rebate. Same goes for the tinting voucher. I don't know what tinting brand is for the voucher but I think you can decline it for a better rebate and do your tinting outside. In this forum, got a few fellas can offer you better prices I feel.Besides that, the SA did call the honda tinting person to serve me on the tinted and introduced me Raytech, is it good and worth it? but later on the SA told me to better get Vkool as its the best and cheap? Ask the SA how much is the tinting for Raytech and Vkool and perhaps other brands. Then scout around the Automotive Garage section in this forum to compare the prices

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Nov 10 2014, 06:10 PM) Same here. Dont over 120km/h. Tested yesterday on highway and traffic jam at seremban and senawang. But avg still 18-19 km/l. Same here..I drove on the highway a few days ago in the range of 110-120km/h managed to average 18 km/l. Any of you guys here run with the Econ button on? Does it improve fuel consumption significantly? This post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Nov 10 2014, 07:15 PM

QUOTE(Ivan113 @ Nov 12 2014, 02:22 PM) 1) How to play songs from phone or USB? Mine is the the most expensive variant, I saw there's a USB port there, if I plug in pendrive, will it play songs? 2) Is it possible to install a rear camera? 3) How do you guys measure the fuel consumption? by guessing? Hope someone can clarify this, thanksĀ 1) Plug in and play songs your phone. The radio must change the source to "USB". Not sure how to do it on S+ spec cuz E spec can change the source via the steering button. 2) Yes, it's possible but I think have to change the radio unit or else how to view? But I shall let others answer this cuz I don't plan to install one. 3) This can be done by simple maths. Reset your trip meter when you pump full tank. Next time when you pump full tank see what the reading is on your trip meter and how much fuel you've pumped in. Trip meter reading/volume of fuel pumped in = fuel consumption This post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Nov 12 2014, 03:20 PM

QUOTE(lcyeap90 @ Nov 19 2014, 06:52 PM) Thanks sifu. Is City Grade E's player able to play songs from iphone if plug in using USB? Of course. Plug in and then just have to change the source of the player..either by pressing the "Source" button on the steering wheel or pressing the "CD/AUX" button on the player until it has USB on the screen if I'm not mistaken

QUOTE(lcyeap90 @ Nov 19 2014, 07:22 PM) Thought it will be playing the song while charging when I plug in using USB? This is the case for civic thou. not sure about this city. Ya still can play the song thru the player while it is being charged but have to change source of player to USB. Only downside is that if you don't change the source and you only want to charge the phone, all the notification sounds from the phone cannot be heard. Got vibration only.
