Sifus,

Can anyone comment on quartz coating? I was quoted on this type of coating for RM700 but only 1 year warranty. I wanted Sierra coat but it's not available in Ipoh

My V spec develop a noisy sound from the gearbox above 40kmh
Checked by Honda engineer at SC and need to change the gearbox!!
Already one month no GB stock??got to import from Japan ..bla..bla
Can you believe it
This will be my last Honda..crap service mad.gif  mad.gif

I think everyone hears that sound. That's the activation of airbag but that will only occur once every drive.

i think it is true as Honda wont simply change gear box. Now in dilemma as Vios offered 1.58% interest.
In term of spec cannot compare with Honda but gear box issue...hmmm....

Bro. Trust me. I cancelled my Vios and booked City instead! Very promising car and my parents are very happy with the car. Smooth ride and quiet engine. Toyota SA keeps telling me that SOHC engine very bising but Toyota's DOHC lagi bising. LOL..

I would recommend Tian Siang if there's any in KL. I got my E spec modern steel just after 3 weeks of booking. SA promised and delivered as the date she said.

anybody know what's happening to "mystery sound @ 40km/h" issue on post#2?

my E spec is having the same issue, gonna ask the technician/mechanic investigate during 1000km service
*
The sound is the activation sound for all safety components in your car. I have that in my car also. At first i tot stones flew onto my car but nothing rclxub.gif

Guys.. Is it last gen city having rear disc brake but latest gen City only comes with drum brake? Anyone knows why?
*
They say it is not necessary as City is a light car. Paul Tan did a test and the braking effect is very minimal however that cannot be said if the car is having full load of people. The heavier it is, the larger the momentum of the car. My dad owns a vios with 4 disc brakes and the braking feeling is slightly different than in City. City seems harder to brake.

Like this last gen facelift owner macam lucky sikit leh.. My friend bought the cheapest S ald get 4 disc brakes and metallic door handler.
*
Not really lar..this generation's city is better IMO. VSA, airbags and also rear air cond (altho more of a show than go) and push start entry. These beat the last gen in every aspect. Also the CVT with torque converter damn smooth. Price wise much cheaper than last gen's. Last gen was priced at 86k++ (correct me if i'm wrong) for the S. Then this gen E spec can get at 80k d.

I was driving few days ago, and the rear door was not shut properly. However there was no signal to warn me about it, and the door light was not on either.

Not sure if you guys notice this. driving V-Spec.

Also, i tried to sound the alarm by purposely letting one door open and locking the doors with remote, there is no alarm at all...any idea?
*
I face the same thing. My bonet open and I lock the car but no alarm.. I wonder if this car has no alarm =.=

guys just for V spec,
all doors lock...u stand near the boot with remote..u press the car boot button, it will open (but the all doors still lock). the alarm will not activate if your remote is still within the range. u try stand far far with open boot (doors still lock) or throw ur remote far far, the alarm will activate.

hope u guys understand...lol

Loud? Testesd Vios, Almari, Attrage. None the louder than all those japanese B-seg...and definitely way quieter than all Proton cars....including Iriz and my Inspira. The tyre noise can be easily fix by changing better comfort tyres...the stock tyres are just budget tyres.

Unless you the type who tekan the throttle all the way, than what car also loud...

The other day...I made funny mistake...parked at roadside parking...got down from car try to lock it...cannot lock...dunno what happened...then later only realized I didnt turn off the engine....it is quite enough a little noise outside makes me cant hear the engine already when I was standing outside the car...also didnt hear much engine idling soundbwhen inside, so forgot to press stop button...(I also seldom drive my wife's car...not used to press stop when get out from car...lol ).
*
same lor..i did press the stop button but didn't realise it hasn't shut down because I didn't put gear knob to P. tried to unlock but couldnt because engine still running LOL

Hi Guys,

I am planning to get Honda City E Spec and I am from Seremban but before doing so, I would like to ask some question to assist me in buying the car and also add some other good stuffs.

Today, I went to the Honda and the SA has given me the following and price and gift:
1. Honda Rebate 3,000 + SA Rebate 1,000 = 4,000 Rebate
2. Free Gifts = Full Petrol + Smart Tag + tinted voucher (got other Honda gifts but didn't tell me what it is)
So, are those given price and items okay? As the previous pages got some people mentioned that can get from 4.5K to 5.5K?

Besides that, the SA did call the honda tinting person to serve me on the tinted and introduced me Raytech, is it good and worth it? but later on the SA told me to better get Vkool as its the best and cheap?

Moving to the additional thing, as I am from Seremban, can anyone intro me a good shop to install the following items and also tell what is the good brand and type for it; as well as, the current market price?
1. Modulo Bodykit with paint?
2. Tinted Vkool - Tempered with 70-95% heat reduction?
3. HU with reverse camera? is there any front sensor for it as I am used to knock my front bumper when parking?
4. Fog lamp?
5. is there any good leather seat for Honda City? I prefer those sport seats that can hug you at the side?

Those are my questions, please do take it easy on my.

Thank You.
*
Yea. I think if u want the fog lamp and HU, then might as well get the V spec. And firstly look at how much is the tinted voucher. If it's less than 500, might as well get your own tint. The reason is the seller will sell to you at RM2000 when the real price is RM1500. So do your own maths. Do survey for prices for tinted before finally deciding on the tint that they provide. For rebate wise, I think you can still press on your SA. Just tell them, one of the SAs in KL offered you better with RM5000. Ask if he could do it and show ur determination to book from him. haha..i did that to my SA. In the end my SA even free me the floor mat (i top up abit to get the better one)

Firstly, thanks for the info guys.
I don't want to pay those extra few thousand for my instalment for V spec and I really don't want the cruise mode.

The other reason for me not picking KL SA is because service and warranty not so good seen from the previous as there are taichi and so on; therefore, would stick back to Seremban (Kampung town  sad.gif )
I should really push that SA more or find another one. My SA reason for not giving a lot of rebate is because he said KL throw price cause got a lot of Honda SA and Seremban only got 2 Honda Center  sad.gif

Voucher is only RM300 can say good bye to that SA if cant really give me good price and stuffs.
Either way,the other good stuffs might as well do it outside but need to find good shops. Anyone can intro good shops at KL that is near the KL toll exit E.G: Bukit Jalil, OUG, Puchong, Serdang, or Seri Kembangan (I work at Bukit Jalil)

As 8sg9ft I should really go survey myself but really scared get cut throat. If you guys can give me the name of the stuff that I am getting, it would be a great help  smile.gif
*
Since there are two sales centre then u just tell ur SA that the other centre offered u higher..SAs are like that. U need to keep pushing them for better price. I think if u wanna book and get the rebate, u better act quickly. That day saw someone posting their order will only arrive in January and they only have 1k discount coz it's 2015 car

anyone filled their tank with RON 97? Since the difference it price is not that far now...could it be that using ron97 would be much more economical?
*
Yea i filled with ron97 since the first day i got the car. 100% city ard 10~11km/l. The city drive is terrible with traffic light almost every few kilometers and the car keeps idling. 70% highway and 30% city gave me 15~17km/l and fully loaded with 4 fat and one thin fella..haha

Hi,

Can anyone share about the feedback on Good Year Excellence? Heard many bad comments and suggestions to replace it with other tyres.
*
BAD! tyre noise is terrible. I'm using Bridgestone EP200 on my other car and it feels damn nice. Very less noise and smooth rolling
