Earth Spirit or Earthshaker?
In-house games died out cause people not serious enough. If you wanna screw around can always queue in normal match making. If people take the trouble to organize 10 people to play together, I think it's only expected that you try your best. I think most people who join join to improve their skills. I think saying, 'just want to have fun' is a cop-out. It's a game so yeah you're having fun but DOTA is not a casual game honestly. You really have to have your thinking cap on at all times; it's not a game for switching off your brain that's why it's so mentally exhausting.

imo it's the other way round.
the lobby game died because people tried too hard.

it can be either side, but i believe the ppl here mostly unkers are more towards casual game than tryhards...
if tryhards, isnt it better to just form a team and go party mmr or just cm mode?
if wanna train, make a team.instead of going lobby imo
Different groups of people have different expected outcomes. I realized a long time ago that you can't force people to play seriously, which is why I disbanded the previous guild and killed the thread. We just have to accept that there will be a split of casual and competitive groups.
For me, it's simple - I play to improve, and I invite those who share the same goes to play with me. My vision for inhouse games is one where players can improve, not just d*** around; a place where players can learn from each other. It should be like training in pubs, with the exception that your teammates speak English and they won't bobo tang ina you to a free loss.
