I'm using the Fujitsu rechargeable AAA for my DECT phone. Previously using Eneloop AAA.
So far the performance is comparable.

QUOTE(KevC @ Sep 23 2014, 07:44 PM) Hi xgenomer, I can say..the performance of the battery is quite similar with old 2000mah eneloop (dark blue lettering) one in term of voltage consistency over time. so how was the performance of the battery so far? I can see Fujitsu Battery very active in participating the Tamiya race always from their fb page as below https://www.facebook.com/FujitsuBatteryMalaysia |

sorry to activate an old topic, but i really need to find out from active users of both brands of the batteries:
After using for some years, what's your latest view between these two brands: Fujitsu vs Eneloop? How about other brands like Panasonic Evolta, and Sony? |

How about other brands like Panasonic Evolta, and Sony? Sony no longer produce its CycleEnergy, well i still using it and working fine now. If u would like to get Panasonic Eneloop, make sure it is made in Japan. For alternative, Fujitsu is the brand to go for, the white equivalent to regular eneloop while the black equivalent to eneloop pro. If u don't mind, u could get some LADDA 2450mAH rechargeable batteries from IKEA for half the price of eneloop pro. |

Eneloops are famous for staying fully charged longer when just sitting around. As in if you fully charge the batteries and leave it to sit for a few months then it will still have 80%+ power after so long. I have used Fujitsu and did suspect them to be the same as Eneloops. I don't have any thorough test methods to test these battery's performance.
So other rechargeable brands like Sony or Energizer will lose half its power just by sitting a few months. If you're a person that always charges their batteries the day before using then you might not feel much difference. When Sony and Eneloop both are fully charged, both last similarly when used in a speedlite. But don't buy no name brands. They work fine for a few months and then stop working properly. And seeing one forming some white blueish powder, maybe that's what rechargeable batteries leak looks like, but I haven't seen branded rechargeable leak like this yet. Brands I've tried without problems yet: Panasonic/Sanyo Eneloop, Fujitsu, Ansmann, GP, Sony and Energizer. |

i thought Fujitsu basically used Eneloop plant and tech to make their own Fujitsu (basically Eneloop in Fujitsu clothing)
while panasonic has no choice and use their own china plant to make the new range of eneloop. i have used several brand of LSD battery eneloop, imedion, ansman, cycle energy(sony) (friend using GP Recyko, and it works the same)... and they last very well until today (out of 36pcs, only 2pcs cant retain charge). overheating for camera flash use is normal under stressful usages (long burst, high power usage, heaty environment). and all LSD are very good IF you use the RIGHT charger. if you use those charger must charge in Pairs, aka timer charger, normally it will damage your battery because it is unable to read the battery capacity and know its full. It will just continuous charge for 10-12 hours and overcharge it. as long as you are using Smart Charger, which can read the voltage, and support trickling charge (eg, 150mAh trickling charge at 1.15volt aka 80% till full) then your LSD can really really reach up to 2000 charge cycle (or even more!). The Sanyo bundle charger? i throw it out the window. It messes up my other battery capacity. I'm currently using MAHA c401fs(6 years now, still tiptop condition) C801D(3 year usage) and Notecore D4(2 year usage since start playing with 14500 & 18650 batts) also if you plan to buy other brand then eneloop, try google around for more info on the particular brand and understand is it LSD type or not. the issue was never with eneloop or insert brandLSD battery, but the right charger for the job. BTW, IKEA LADDA 2000/2450mAH rechargeable batteries is not true LSD type although the packaging wrote READY TO USE. its a false marketing. i brought them, charge 4 pcs, use 2 for my wireless keyboard, when my keyboard battery life is shorten after 6 month usage, i swap out the other pair, and guess what, 2 week life. charge all 4, and happened again on next cycle... yes, another 6 month went by... anddddd i used for my photography jobs. 200 fires and dead, while my eneloop continue to 1500 shots (my flash was set to 1/64 fulltime) so, i dont trust IKEA false marketing on LADDA made in china battery for heavy use like flash... all use as wall clock battery and remote control batt now. Since the review of Eneloop battery sounds impressive, 2 months ago I give a try and bought the Organic Version of Eneloop 4 pcs AA and 4 pcs AAA. I installed the 1st pair of AA into my TV Smart remote and use about a month till battery low, then I swap the 2nd pair to the remote. I used the Panasonic original Eneloop charger to fully charge the 1st pair of AA then store it in a batteries storage box and keep inside the drawer in cool environment.
After a month of storage when I want to use the AA batteries yesterday, I was shocked that one of the 1st pair AA battery has leaked but another one still fine. The leaks is around the positive terminal of the battery until the label wrapping of the battery also corroded to change colour. I tried to use tissue to wipe off the leaks then surprisingly the voltage of the leaked battery is still similar with the second battery. The another 4 pcs AAA still fine. I try to google around the reason of NiMh leaking, majority sites explained that the leaks should be caused by overcharge the battery using cheap charger which heated it too hot during charging until the safety valve of the battery opens to release internal pressure and leaks to avoid explosion. I am using Panasonic smart charger which is designed for Eneloop battery and I remember that these 1st pair AA batteries are slight warm after fully charge. No sign of leaking after finished charging the batteries. So I am pretty sure definitely not the charger problem and it should be the quality of the battery matters. In my experience of using Energizer, GP, Uniross Rechargable NiMh battery, I never encountered such leaking issue. NimH Rechargeable battery shouldn't leaks like Alkaline batteries under normal usage. I have called Panasonic Malaysia and complaint about my issue, the customer service told me that Panasonic don't provide any warranty for Eneloop batteries but she will raised my complaint to the higher management and will come back to me later. I am very frustrated that the battery only can use once and need to discard and I hope Panasonic Malaysia will solved my issue in good manner. Previously the Eneloop is own by Sanyo and all batteries are Made in Japan but now after Panasonic bought the Eneloop brand, the batteries becomes Made in China. I suspect that the QC and quality dropped with the later batch of Eneloop battery from Panasonic if compared with the old days Sanyo. A lesson learned, I will totally stayed away with Panasonic Eneloop batteries which is Made in China forever. Now after knowing that Fujitsu took over the Sanyo Eneloop batteries factory in Japan, I feel it is better to buy Japan made Fujitsu LSD rechargeable batteries instead of China made Panasonic Eneloop LSD rechargeable battery. Both brand are having similar technology but only difference in country of production which make the difference. Big No for China made Panasonic Eneloop. Does the blister pack got the sticker of Panasonic Malaysia? When is the manufacturing date of the battery? I think your one is the previous batch of Eneloop which the packing written Capacity min 1900mAh and made in JapanMine one got Panasonic Malaysia sticker on the blister pack and manufacturing date is November 2015. Packing written Capacity up to 2000mAH and made in China. Now Panasonic Malaysia officially import China made Eneloop and I noticed there are 2 version of packing selling in Malaysia. I just found an interesting article to differentiate China made with Japan Made Eneloop: http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showth...Testing-Results Seems China made Eneloop quality is not as good as Japan made Eneloop. |
