u will never get out of it by paying so little. Compounded interest will destroy you, mentally, and financially. Cut your cards. And someone please share how much TS should pay per month and tenure of payment on this amount. Perhaps convert to personal loan for lower interest?

its my friend. He made a mistake. He just sent his application to refinance his property. Over confident he will get it approved, he spent alot on his cc coz he is about to get married, so need to buy alot of stuff. spent 15k in just a few weeks. Just now bank called said didnt approve coz high commitment in his cc. He was planning after he get his refinance, he will pay his cc all off. Now, he terduduk.

he is going to get married, so use his cc. He was planning to pay all off once he get the refinance money. Now he dunno what to do.

beli apa sampai 15K? The debt will kill ur friend and plz dun pay the minimum. Check the statement that usually the bank pos to ur friend. It did put the minimum amount that need to be pay and how long it is.

15k is still solvable. not that much imo. He could opt for lower interest rate personal loan and stretch for 5 years. 15k @ 8% @ 5 years only RM350 monthly. Deswai if dun have enuff money to marry better to just get personal loan. CC is dangerous yo.

Apply another new credit card and cover the other debt. Repeat the steps until you can't find any new credit card to apply. Finally go find a 14th storey window and you know what to do.

ur friend got 1 credit card only ah? with 15k limit i m guessing his/her monthly is around 5k so ikat pinggang for 3-5 month la... if not balance transfer 1st lor

yea, if theres no longer any way to get his refinance, I think this is the best option. I already advised him about this. But, now he pening where to get more cash for his wedding ceremony. Dunno if his hantaran already give or not. If not he need to find 10k asap or fully do personal loan for his coming wedding

I only know if you swipe 45k, minimum payment is 2250.

Then if that's the case, he should take the max loan he can get for 5 years / 10 years. Usually loan will ask for reason for lending, just inform that its to pay-off cc debts. They will ask your cc that need to be paid, and they will directly disburse the money to the cc, and disburse the balance of the loan to your account. At least when married, can properly plan together with his wife to pay off. if he is earning rm5K a month, this shouldn't be any problem.

Provided that he LEARNED a lesson from this la. never overuse CC. and the NEVER DO SUCH SUPER STUPID THING such as cash withdraw from CC .

no, he was planning to apply at other bank. I help him calculate his new dir(debt to income ratio). But seems cant lepas 1 coz i calculate, bcoz of his cc, his dir is over 70%

if you go into AKPK, it will forever go into your record.
banks will know you went to AKPK before and it will be impossible to apply for loan in the future.

he needs to borrow 15k from you, pay off cc debt, appeal refinancing, get refinancing money and pay you back.

if he pays just minimum payment, his refinancing will not go through.

By that definition, my cc hates me too.

Look at your credit card monthly statement. It's clearly stated there. Go figure.

WRONG. you can go for advice, not neccesarily need to use their help (in consolidating the loan by talking to bank you are indebted to). You can just go and ask for advice and it shouldn't go into your record. At least they help you plan. Pls don't misinform the public la bro

15k might not seem a lot, but looking at your fren's situation it will easily snowball to 25k and above in a year or 2's time. Good that he is asking your advice. Am afraid he will need to use it again to complete this wedding, like buying bed, clothes, honeymoon and more. So I suspect it will go up 20 - 25k in a very shorttime.

What's done is done, it was his mistake to think he can refinance his property after changes done by BNM this year to control the situation. Banks are very very strict now, and that is actually a good thing. Just plan and do accordingly and he should be OK. Rmbr, cut the bloody card, or ask his wife to bury it in the garden or something
