QUOTE(27needles @ Oct 13 2014, 10:08 PM) Bros, how do I know which Cvt gearbox is in my Preve..? VT2 or VT3 ? It is bought in September 2012. If your Preve is the CFE / Turbo variant, then it is VT3 or VT3+. QUOTE(ahter @ Oct 13 2014, 11:01 PM) i think it is stated on the small car plate beside the driver seat (bottom side of b-pillar) .. sept. 2012 should be VT2. afaik, VT3+ only used for Nov/Dec 2013 models and above .. VT2 and VT3 has nothing to do with when it is produced. VT2 is for IAFM non-turbo Preve. VT3 is for CFE / Turbo Preve. VT3+ is for ANCAP Preve (6 airbags). QUOTE(lin00b @ Oct 14 2014, 12:01 AM) VT2,3,3+ whats the difference? VT2 is designed for applications that outputs less than 180Nm of torque, used in the Saga FLX and Preve IAFM+. VT2+ is a modified version of VT2, same torque limitation, but different final drive ratio. Currently used in the Iriz. VT3 is a beefed up version of VT2, for applications of 220Nm of torque or lower, used in the 4-airbags Preve CFE and Exora Bold. VT3+ is the mostly the same as VT3 with differences in the mounting and teeth count in the gearing. Improvements are mostly in sound insulation. Used in the 6-airbag Preve CFE and Suprima S.

QUOTE(kazasho @ Oct 16 2014, 08:53 PM) any recommendation to do this kind of stripe? Tom StickersGettoGetto seems to be cheaper, but you can ask for a quote from both first.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Oct 23 2014, 12:37 PM) Learnt from a friend that the tyre pressures can affect the ESC mechanism (my ESC has triggered 3 times, non blinking). Went to set the pressures at 22 (front) and 21 (back) as stated in the manual. They were set higher before my adjustment at about 30. I think now the steering is easier and smoother. And the drive is smoother as well. Ha. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me! Ha. Try it and see if you see the same. That seems incredibly low

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Nov 10 2014, 01:27 PM) ... actually i think hill hold assists is do engine braking or accelerating during the slope area.. Hill hold assist uses brakes, not engine, to hold the car on the slopes.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 4 2014, 08:22 PM) Hill hold assist doesn't work by just releasing brakes. There is a need to push a button to tell the car you need the assist. The clutch is not completely open so it doesn't roll back like neutral. If you are holding your car by the hill after releasing your brakes, you're just wearing out your clutch, there is no brakes applied, whether it is Exec or Premium or Premium with 6 airbags or LE. So Preve has a manually activated Hill hold assist function?

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 4 2014, 08:25 PM) No, Suprima S has. We don't have the button at all. Suprima mia hill hold is automatic IINM...I tested it before. Same as my Fiesta, just release brakes on a slope it will hold the brakes for a few seconds.

QUOTE(mengsuan @ Dec 4 2014, 08:30 PM) Wokey, then I'm wrong. But I'm fairly certain my Preve LE does not hold on to brakes but only relies on clutch. henbrek

QUOTE(sanadi @ Dec 7 2014, 08:40 AM) Always use the handbrake, never left foot brake with the Preve. You went to the Big Red Strawberry Farm did you? This is actually steeper than that: Big Red Strawberry Farm - killing gearboxes since 2005

QUOTE(mental007 @ Dec 7 2014, 02:17 PM) There is jam infront so had to use the brake. I did handbrake and pedal then only slowly lift handbrake with S Mode. The car got the power and move a little, then straight power loss even i floor the pedal. So had to stop the car cause dont have power to climb. Did that twice and still same. So had to go down all the way and let power build up to climb. Viva behind overtake me It is Cameron Mud House. not sure what its called. Power is not the issue, it's the TCU being touchy about the clutch overheating, and disengaged the clutch. Torque converters would not have such issues.
