Finally, I get my car. Fire Red CVT Exec. SA already detected the 'helicopter' sound. He already ordered for me the brake, will change it next week. Good SA, I very recommend him.

Do PM me if you want to deal with him.

RHB have the lowest interest rate according to my SA. Proton Commerce CIMB also give me 3.03%. Not thag much of a difference.

Only CFE have lights. Exec CVT no lights

QUOTE(theonlyvin @ Aug 23 2014, 10:48 AM)
nop, this only applicable to CFE

Our Executive variants dont have any light indicator
*
So, is there any workaround for that? Light strip DIY or something?

Guys, quick question. I stream my songs from HP using bluetooth. But whenever calls come in and ended, the songs become much slower in term of the loudness. Why?

Guys, few questions:

1. Does the instant fuel consumption is correct?
2. I'm facing excessive smoke/smell coming into the cabin. This is not normal right?
3. I scarp my rim a bit, any fix for that?

1. I am trying to see how accurate is the reported FC by counterchecking it with my own L added and km traveled.
2. I suggest taking your car to SC ASAP as this can a health danger. It can be engine exhaust and the CO, CO2 can kill. Suggest winding down your windows till this has been resolved.
3. While driving on sealed road? Strange.

Cheerio.
*
1. I heard that before 1st service, FC is bad and it gets better after service. But when I'm driving 60-80km/h, I get 6.0l/100km on instant, which is good FC right?
2. Fumes not from engine exhaust but from outside. Like bike with terribad smokes passing in front of the car, the smoke can smell from inside.
3. Lol at the sarcasm. Scrapped during parking, not normal driving. Just wondering if there's a way of fixing/reducing the scrapped that happened on the rim biggrin.gif

2. No, not at all. I can assure you that the smell comes from outside. If I pass by a garbage area, I will smell the garbage smell in the cabin.

QUOTE(plumberly @ Aug 25 2014, 12:43 PM)
1. Better not use instant FC as your overall FC as instant FC can vary from 0 to 30 L/100km. Proton stated 6.6L/100km as their Preve FC. So good to see that at times it can achieve that.
2. Good to know that it is not from the engine exhaust.
3. I see. I thought your RIM damage was due to unsealed road with gravels hitting the rim. I can relate to your parking incident where the rim got damaged. Preve body is wider than Wira and the driver's location is closer to the front. Thus Preve's orientation/location can be a problem when parking or turning left at a T junction. My rear left wheel hit the road concrete barrier when existing at a T junction after breakfast with my wife. Now I pay more attention and care in parking and turning left.
*
My sis who drove Persona 'gives' instruction on how to park. I parked at the same spot 3 times successfully but when she gave the instructions, I scrapped the rim to the side barrier doh.gif

QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Aug 25 2014, 12:46 PM)
1. Judging the fuel economy from the money you spend to pay for petrol at the pump station, weekly or monthly, may be better indication that basing on the FC instantaneous reading of the vehicle. Don't know how accurate is the digital instantaneous FC meter of the vehicle as I find it weird that it shows 0L/100km when the car is stationary (should be around 1L +/-).

2. Assuming the setting of the air circulation of your car is at the right position(set to internal circulation rather than having outside air flowing into your car), then chances are something is wrong with the air filter, and some adjustment to it is required.
*
1. According to the manual book, if the FC is less than 3L/100km, it will show 0L/100km. That is what I read biggrin.gif

QUOTE(plumberly @ Aug 25 2014, 12:47 PM)
I think Vikneswaranc has hit the nail on the head. The light on the 3rd knob indicates that air is recirculated in the car. If the light is not on, then it indicates that air from outside is fed into the car. Thus you get the smell when you pass by that area.
*
QUOTE(vikneswaranc_17 @ Aug 25 2014, 12:51 PM)
Exactly thats my point.. because he mentioned that even if a bike passed by, the smell comes in the car..make sure u press the 3rd knob and the light have to be lit.
*
I will check further more on this. I may/may not turn on the third knob lights on while driving (I didn't even know what it does doh.gif ). Will give you all an update tonight. Thanks for attending my questions. Newbie with Preve as first car tongue.gif

btw, my friend told me that this Preve's doors (included passenger's side) can be opened by 2 times of the handle even the all doors have been locked previously. Is it true? sounds like dangerous if fetching children at the back...
*
Yes you can. Pull the door lever twice and you can unlock the car even if the central lock is turn on. Well, that's the purpose of the child lock.

Hi guys
Im gonna get my Preve soon (fingers crossed)
Wanna ask, the brake judder aka helicopter sound,
Will it be loud and make the whole car vibrate when I brake? Or how is the brake judder like?
Sorry if me ask noob question as I believe this has been asked countless times in this group.
*
My SA tested my car and he said that it have the brake judder problem but I never heard it, prolly due to I'm driving slow. So, maybe it depends on your speed and the seriousness of the issue.

Tried to insert the key this morning. The hole is too small and I don't dare to push the key too hard into the hole. May ruin the paint if that is not the right way to insert.

Please advise on how to dislodge the cover.

May be a photo to show?

Thanks.
*
My SA told me that the paint wilk calar for sure if I try to dislodge the cover. He told me, do it when emergency. Haha

Well, I'm at PJ Sect 13 SC for my 1000km service. The Front Desk lady recommend me to topup extra to use Syn 800 instead of the Mineral Oil for RM56. Service so far so good.

Got an update from a staff here. Syn800 can be use till 10k km if you use the car for daily ride. If you have done a lot of Long Distance Driving, it's advisable to change at 5k km.

Thanks for the warning! Ha.

If I have to "damage" the paint to use the door key, then I think that is a design flaw. I know it is possible to open from the back but one will have a tough time crawling from the back to the front!
*
Hahaha. I used the checklist at the front page and it require me to check the front lock. Then I asked my SA to dislodge the cover, he said he don't want to do it. He scared it will calar then I blame him. Haha.

Either way, dislodging the cover should be last option IMO. But I doubt you can crawl from bonnet thru the rear set as you need to press a button on rear seat to fold it first.

Lucky you!
I had my 1st service there on Tuesday. Left my car there at 7.50am then went to work.
Only got my car back at 5pm when they finally called and says done. =.="
I hated the receptionist attitude so much! "Belum siap, sudah siap kite akan call la~". I called twice also tell me this.
vmad.gif  vmad.gif

You had your service where? The service receptionist told me that my car will be attended at 10.30 am since the mechanics have am break from 10 am to 10.30 am eventhou my appointment at 10 am. thumbup.gif They promised me the car will be ready at 12pm. At 11.30, my car still haven't been attended and I straight complain and they attend my car shortly afterwards and surprisingly, they managed to get it done within 30 minutes. shakehead.gif

And they scratched my car key hole cry.gif

Anyone knows where I can repair a small dent (bit bigger than 50 cent coin) + paint touch up and how much the cost would be?

And my reverse sensor malfunction already. Suspect someone soft banged my car from behind as there's a line of soft scratch at the bumper. doh.gif

AA  Like to know which SC allow $ top-up for using synthium instead of Mach 5.

BB  The 10,000 km service is when the odometer reads 10,000 or 11,000 km? That is additional 10,000 km after the 1000 km service.

CC  6 months is from the registration date or 1000 km service date?

Thanks.
*
AA PJ section 13 confirm can do as they're the one who offer the topup to me.

BB and CC Logically, it should be at 11000KM as the 6 months period is after the 1000KM service date.
