What brand do u have in mind? And how much you know about acoustic? Have you test different size to see which suit u best??

Giving u a brand name will not solve ur problem. Here a thread i started describing how different wood affect tone. You can have a look.

U can shoot any question here. Will assist you as much as possible.

Thx.. between that i still cnt make decision what to choose.. I have Yamaha Lakewood Takamine in my mind.. but lakewood is too expensive for me.. Im a performer.. that why i need a better acoustic electric guitar.. and the place i live now don't have much guitar shop, so that i don't have many choices to test those famous brand guitar... gt any trustable online guitar shop can recommend to me?

With your budget, I would say to skip getting a guitar with a pickup as most of the electroacoustics in that range isn't good. You can add a pickup later if you want.

Anyway, if you are into fingerstyle, I would suggest getting solid top guitars with the mainboard wood as cedar or mahogany for first priority as they will in general produce a mellow tone. Spruce is an all-rounder and the most commonly used wood ever and its the wood I would recommend if can't get cedar/mahogany solid top guitars.

The only guitar comes into my mind with your price range is the Yamaha FG700S or 730S.

Here's how it sound like

Its a solid spruce top if not mistaken which makes it good for both strumming and picking.

i suggest u to buy at least a solid top guitar. prices depending whether u wanna go for brand or not.

solid top branded w/ pickups = at least rm2000
solid top branded w/o pickups = at least rm1300
solid top non branded w/ pickup = around rm1000
solid top non branded w/o pickup = around rm700

That price range, crafter. Their nut is conductive to fingerpicking as well.

For that budget of yours, get a Yamaha guitar. I use a Yamaha Guitar for fingerstyle too (with fingerpicks).

If you can afford a Martin Guitar, then go for it.

Some sample fingerstyle songs here biggrin.gif
