As for android, I wouldn't bat an eye on other brand other than nexus line.

I'm currently waiting for the next gen ipad mini.

Currently using iPad 2, this is a massive upgrade for me.

Hi guys, was wondering whether should i buy one now or wait on till the introduction of third gen...
ayam buying the wifi+cellular 16GB... give some opinion please notworthy.gif

wait. The next iPad mini will feature touchID, 8mp camera, and the A8 chip. A8 may not be a huge performance gain, but its rumoured to be the "Haswell" of Apple processors. The A8 is supposedly the chip which will bring the biggest efficiency gain ever for iOS devices. The A7 was already an amazing mobile chip performance wise. A8 could be a slightly higher speed bump, but with 60% higher power efficiency.

i dont quite like the iPad Mini after a more thorough hands on... Its like the macbook air as well. the 11inch against the 13inch. 7.9inch feels kind of crammed, for reading.. iPad Air 2 for me thumbup.gif

I read A8 will be running at 2.0Ghz per core.

And yea, more energy-efficient too because of the 20nm process.

i thought it would be a speed bump as it has been since A5 but,.. 2.0ghz... sounds a quite abit higher than usual no?
A4 to A5 went from single to dual with same speed
A5 to A6 went from 0.8/1ghz to 1.3/1.4
A6 to A7 remained same speed but went with 64 bit
A7 to A8, maybe 1.6/1.7..?

possible to raise to 2.0ghz actually when u look at it... i think A9 will finally bring it to quad core.. at the time of A9, i bet Snapdragon's top of the line or Mediatek's would have like 579123 cores in it at 97.3 Ghz each core. Lollll....

but then really. every single iphone has been touted to be "the most efficient chip" .. but look in the end, macam yes, tapi bukan.. its high time Apple raise the battery capacity significantly in iphone. you cant expect to dub an iphone "all day" if it remains with a capacity below 2000mAh , what more with iPhone 6. Chip efficiency plays its part, but the battery capacity is the limiting factor now. they can do it with Macbook Air and iPad Air, why not their phone...

Recent rumors suggest that iPhone 6 will have 1,800 and 2,500mAh battery respectively. What do you think ?

I do hope to see 2,000mAh battery on the 4.7" iPhone 6 tho.

macrumors or somewhere i saw another rumour saying it will be limited to just about 1700 or 1800, because of thinness issue of the iphone.. that puts it very much the same battery life as the 4,4S , 5 and 5S. all of them have never been any longer lasting than any other... they've been as short-lasting as they've always been. i think the 5S thickness of 7.6mm is already the sweet spot, going thinner is just wronggg....

Some other brands managed to put higher capacity battery with slim design. Take a look at Gionee Elife S.5.5 for example. It has 2,300 mAh battery and it’s just 5.6 mm thin. Also Sony Xperia T3, 7mm thickness with 2,500 mAh battery.

I wonder why can't Apple do that with iPhone ?

so that they can have a chance to say: "We know a secret. We know that it isn't battery capacity that determines how long a phone would last. Its how we make software and hardware work together to bring best battery life." They've been boasting of this hardware-software working together thing since the 4S, but they somehow must realise that hardware-software thing cant happen on every iphone they ship out can they.. its a virtual chance. every software is bound to have its own bugs.. the capacity is still the more safe bet on this battery pride, but it'll like raise the cost of production for each iphone by i dunno... maybe $1.00 ?
