3. Hmm, as per above shouldn't rust that easily bcos that's stainless steel. I have the almost same bar but bought from ikea called Huggad about 2 years ago with hooks, no sign of being rusty at all despite the constant washing.

If really turns rusty then I can just remove the whole thing and replace with something else in future perhaps?

Mine rusty from Ikea one sad.gif

But will definitely keep this as an option. New place comes with kitchen cabinet (save money!) but lack counter space.

Hi, I've just found this thread and it looks great. Although I haven't gone through all 16 pages, I think it shows that you can get good results with good imagination, good contractors and feedbacks. I like the results, especially with the soon to be DIY furnitures from pallets.

However may I ask, do you have any problem in asking permission from your JMB about hacking walls in your condo? I plan to hack walls and build a new one to convert 2 huge bedrooms service apartment into 3 functional rooms. If the question has been answered before, my apologies. Anyway, any advice?

No worries, my condo is still very new therefore the management is still the one who's taking care of the stuffs.
No issue on the wall hacking because the show unit that they build the same wall and even longer stretch was being hacked. I've also double checked with the developer that there's no issue in hacking the wall. Better be safe than sorry.

You need to speak to the JMB and go to the developer for a blueprint to see if there's any beam that's holding the structure, if there's you must not hack the beam because that will affect ur condo's structure and you might need to pay for the damages done to everyone. Hope this helps ..

Hi princessgalaria

I know you mentioned that you were happy with Homemark for the kitchen cabinets, would it be possible to get some photos of them open? reason being that I went to the showroom yesterday and my GF mentioned that their workmanship seems to be shoddy as there are significant gaps in their fittings..

The photos are all on PG2, 12 & 14.
Some of the gaps are adjustable, I requested them to come back to do some rectification work as well.

Hi Deznom, thanks for dropping by our showroom.

Your girlfriend has very sharp eyes then smile.gif Haha, you should have pointed to us where the gaps are so we can note and fix them up.
