Where can I get cheap Kit Kats in Tokyo? Would like to buy a bunch for a group of people. From what I read, Tokyo Station, near the Ramen Street, there is a snack shop that sells over 10 flavors of Kit Kat. 12s box, 840 yen. Thats around the same price as here, except that I can only get green tea and dark chocolate flavor here.
Ameyoko has very cheap Matcha (12s bag, 245 yen). Now thats dirt cheap.
Sakura-matcha (30s for i think 2,100 yen?) can be bought from Haneda Airport.
You can buy at any supermarket like aeon, Yokada, 8max etc.
Brought back 4kind of favour. Cost ¥245/pack. Green tea is the most. 10pack.
Thanks. ¥245 is really cheap. Over here its about RM23++. I can buy all those in the pic here except for the vanilla one though. I'll probably be buying a whole bag of them back to distribute. It's the only gift that I can think of that people will actually like, and will last longer compared to cakes.

I suppose to avoid the hassle I'll convert all my RM to Yen then so I don't have to do any withdrawing in Tokyo and only use credit card for those stores that accepts it. You'll never know when hard cash is needed. I only have a Public Bank credit card so hopefully it works well.
Will AirAsia distribute the arrival slip on board?
I recall they didn't do that previously to HND
It will be my first time going to Tokyo in November. What are the details that I need to fill in the arrival slip and is it possible to get it in the airport? Prefer to fill it in earlier than halfway through the flight.
How do I know if food or snacks sold in Tokyo is halal since they don't have halal certificate like here? Planning to buy stuffs like chocolate or cakes for some Muslim friends.
Planning to visit the Robot Restaurant in Tokyo. Seen some videos and reviews and looks pretty cool. The almost RM200 entry is a little much though. Any other over the top places to visit? I'd rather visit these places than the usual temples and parks.
This might be a bit of a dumb question...but I've just exchanged RM3060 for 100,000 yen and I was given ten 10000 notes. I asked the cashier if they can give me smaller notes and they say they don't have. Now..should I exchanged them with smaller notes when I reach Tokyo? Maybe at 7 Eleven or something? I'm worried that if I use 10000 yen to pay a 500 yen meal they won't accept it because they don't have any change or something. Not sure if something like this happens in Tokyo but it does happen here. You walk into 7 Eleven to purchase a RM2 drink and give them RM10, the cashier will either tell you to go find some small change or go somewhere else and buy.
Is there a place in Haneda Airport to keep my bags before my flight? My flight is at 11pm. Planning to keep my bags there in the morning and go to the city then later come back.
Just came back from my 7 day solo Tokyo trip and had a great time. This is just my second solo trip after Singapore. I visited as many places as I can around the city such as Tsukiji Fish Market, Hama-rikyu garden, Shinjuku red light district, Sky tree, Tokyo Tower, Kit Kat store, Yoyogi park, to name a few. Once I reached a particular station I just go around the entire place to look for the place I want to visit without asking for directions and it was pretty fun. The best part is being on my own and able to do whatever I wanted to do. I even rented my own place in Shinjuku and had the whole 3-bed house with everything to myself. It was also just a few minutes walk to the nearest station passing by lots of stores so you can buy anything. For a first timer, most of the things went pretty smoothly. Definitely should go for more of these kinda trips.
How much did you pay for accommodations in Shinjuku? Which station is it near to?
I paid about RM200 per night. Its an accommodation for 3 person so it will be cheaper if you have more than one person with you. I think its even better than a hotel since you can even cook there and it almost feels like its your own house. The nearest station which is Akebonobashi station is about 6 minutes (I timed it) walk.
Oh.. that. Didn't exactly do much. I just walked around and recorded the journey. The only place I went to is Robot Restaurant which was pretty mind blowing like all the reviews said. Went to a place near by for dinner after that. For a red light district, it looks pretty safe and friendly (maybe because it was only around 8pm). There were a few people standing there who will ask if you want DVDs or something and leave you alone if you just ignore them, then there are school girls with sign boards hanging on their neck, and also a few Nigerians there looking for foreigners to pounce on. I didn't really get harassed, maybe because I don't look white.
Overall it was a nice stroll.
Here's a short clip I took when Robot Restaurant opened for business at 4pm. Would be great if everyone was this happy when they start the day.
What it looks like inside if anyones interested. There were a few opening acts and you're later brought downstairs for the main show that will blow you away. I think you can probably find countless Youtube clips since recording is allowed.
Oh and I just had to add, I went to that 7 storey sex shop, M's, at Akihabara. I only managed to browse around the first 2 floors but it was an eye opener. The first floor had DVDs and the second has fake vaginas and boobs. Unlike here, I didn't feel embarrassed at all when I stepped in. Its kinda like stepping in to a grocery store which is very normal. Teenagers in school uniforms and uncles in suites were browsing sex toys together. Its such a normal thing its surreal. Over here you'll get stares and all.

Ahhh... Not bad. AirBnB? I stayed near Shinjuku Sanchome station, walking distance to Shinjuku downtown.
Yup AirBnB. First time trying it and it was a good experience. Shinjuku station does deserve the busiest station award. People are walking in all directions and you kinda have to zig zag.
I'm planning to go Minakami to bungee jump and do some paragliding (flying in a parachute) in another year or two. Currently doing some research and so far websites of hotels I've found are either all in Japanese or seems to have error booking. Do let me know if you know any cheap place to stay or nice places to visit there. Arrive at Haneda airport and planning to take the shinkansen from Tokyo there.
Man, last month I wen to Tokyo alone for 7 days and spent less than RM2000 for food, transportation and entrance fee for the places I wanna visit. Most of the time I skipped lunch so I can walk to more places. I only ate 7-Eleven bread in the morning and there was only a few times I ate food that's over 3000yen so I was able to save up quite a bit. Slept till 10am and play outside till late. That feeling of being on your own and able to do whatever you want to do is priceless. I had my own apartment to boot so I can walk around naked up and down the stairs in the cold.
I am back home Looks like you got more flavors. Mine is the sakura matcha, uji matcha, two flavors of strawberry and hokkaido red bean (this one is not nice )
lol the hokkaido red bean is actually my favorite. Also dropped by the Kit Kat store to buy those special flavors and try out the Submlime flavor that cost about RM10 for just one stick, wasn't really worth it because it didn't taste that special or anything.
Man, I've even seen entertainment outlets that don't allow you to expose your tattoos even if you're just there to have a drink. If they don't allow you to show tattoos even with your clothes on, lets not even talk about when you're naked.
