Hi. Can we top up on the Hakone Free pass if we were to take the Romance car to Gotemba instead of Hakone-Yumoto or we have to buy a different ticket?

Still cover under Hakone pass. thanks for the reply. that's what i thought at first that Romance car only goes to Hakone-Yumoto until I saw this...? http://www.odakyu.jp/english/romancecar/Please refer to page 1 for more info This post has been edited by Amatiel: Aug 28 2014, 10:53 AM |

QUOTE(RegentCid @ Aug 28 2014, 09:18 PM) It was different from Normal Romance Car which going to Hakone. wow they sure are confusing! thanks for the input! I understand now Going Gotemba was Odakyu Limited Express ''Asagiri'' The special one was going Hakone. while other romance car just very normal only. The flagship 50000 series VSE << This is the special one Odakyu Company classified all express train as Romance Car while JR classified express train as ''limited Express'' |

QUOTE(electron @ Sep 21 2014, 04:04 PM) For 10 days and single person use, i can't think of any better or more cost effective plan than the bmobile Have you personally used this bmobile sim before? I've read that many have problems with the setup and activating. There's the sony plan with cheaper starting price, but also less data quota |

QUOTE(electron @ Sep 22 2014, 09:37 AM) i didn't use bmobile, but used econnect because i needed >14 days thanks for the input. I suppose for people who are not tech savvy better stick to pocket wifi then. don't wanna risk not having it to work.but i believe they are using the same backhaul and have similar setup (entering the APN, password, etc) with econnect, the setup is actually and supposed to be very easy and fast why supposedly? that's because i forgotten to reenable mobile data and i was going to scream bloody murder when my initial setup didn't work after trying the simple steps over and over for like 10 minutes, before realizing my mistake |

On day 1, I'll be taking the direct express from Shinjuku to Gotemba outlet then check in ryokan after shopping.
From gotemba station I take route G bus at bus stop 6 back to hakone-yumoto? http://www.hakone-tozanbus.co.jp/english/s...on/gotenba.html Day 2 will be doing the hakone loop after check out with hakone free pass then go back to shinjuku. I'm concerned since I'm not going to use it for Shinjuku -> Hakone Yumoto, will there be any problem if I use it for Hakone Yumoto -> Shinjuku? Also, can I hop on the train anytime since I have the pass (according to their time table of course) or do I still need to reserve in advance? FYI won't be taking romance car. Thanks in advance. |

This post has been edited by Amatiel: Oct 22 2014, 04:06 PMFrom gotemba station I take route G bus at bus stop 6 back to hakone-yumoto? Yes. Very Obvious Had to ask when I found this direct route coz most articles/forums said you have to either transit at Gora or Sengoku. Day 2 will be doing the hakone loop after check out with hakone free pass then go back to shinjuku. I'm concerned since I'm not going to use it for Shinjuku -> Hakone Yumoto, will there be any problem if I use it for Hakone Yumoto -> Shinjuku? No problem. Also, can I hop on the train anytime since I have the pass (according to their time table of course) or do I still need to reserve in advance? FYI won't be taking romance car. Hakone Free Pass only works inside Hakone. It do not cover any Odakyu Train from Hakone Yumoto to Shinjuku. You take Odakyu normal local train or Odakyu Limited Express "Romance Car" also have to buy ticket. BUT; IF you have Hakone FREE PASS...you can buy Romance Car ticket with special Price which is 890 Yen per Head only" I don't understand. I thought the Hakone Free Pass does include a round trip from Shinjuku? Thanks for the reply http://www.hakonenavi.jp/english/freepass/ |
