im not that rich lol, i accompany my mom for her company training course only since the hotel is paid by her company, heard the taxi is very expensive and can reach rm1k from airport to hotel lol

I will be arriving in Tokyo via Shinkansen at Tokyo Station. Can anyone recommend an easily accessible 4-5 star hotel along the JR line? Maximum budget is RM 600 per night.

I would prefer to use as little metro as possible since I'm traveling in a group and with baggage.

I'm traveling with my family. So, budget's not a problem. But still, RM600 it the maximum lah. If you can recommend cheaper around 450-500 than that would be better.

Previously I was looking at Marunaouchi Metropolitan Hotel, but somehow my travel agent could not get the booking confirmation. So, I'm currently looking for alternatives.

Do you think it's really necessary to have a pocket wifi? in terms of just using it to find our way in Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka?

i've never been to japan, so do you think it's easy to find our way without any google map?

I have allocated 7 days in kansai area. 3 days for kyoto, 1 for nara and 1 for osaka. I have another 2 day before my JR pass expired (last day will be used to travel back to tokyo, so only one whole day left). is it worth to spend 1 day to hiroshima to visit the peace park and downtown area or better spend more time in kyoto. if yes? is it advisable to combine with miyajima?
another question, can i put himeji castle at my last day before i go back to tokyo?

sorry i forgot to mention that i will be travelling on 28s march until 13 april 2015 so based on my itinerary, i plan to visit himeji on 9th april. if there is no delay in the completion time, i think i will arrive just nice after the renovation is completed. so RC, can i combine with my trip back to tokyo or maybe another destination or should i allocated 1 whole day for himeji (i dont plan to visit mount shosha n the temple in the last samurai movie)

This might be a bit of a dumb question...but I've just exchanged RM3060 for 100,000 yen and I was given ten 10000 notes. I asked the cashier if they can give me smaller notes and they say they don't have.
Now..should I exchanged them with smaller notes when I reach Tokyo? Maybe at 7 Eleven or something? I'm worried that if I use 10000 yen to pay a 500 yen meal they won't accept it because they don't have any change or something. Not sure if something like this happens in Tokyo but it does happen here. You walk into 7 Eleven to purchase a RM2 drink and give them RM10, the cashier will either tell you to go find some small change or go somewhere else and buy.

good tip, i was looking for places to eat in arashiyama as well. the unagi place near tenryuji seems to be very pack so this is another option. What is it called in english? I copy paste the japanese name, all review come out in japanese ler.
