How do I use alternative launchers on the EMU? There seems to be a lack of options like Home selection on the Mediapad X1.

I've just noticed something awry with my set. Google Contacts are not displayed on my Contacts from the Phone. Checked the Settings and the only options are Phone and Sim. How do I get this Phone to display Google Contacts?

I've check the Account settings and it seems that everything is checked including sync People Details though there isnt an option for Contacts.

Btw Joytest, can you point me to the patch for this as I'm unable to locate it at the 1st page.

Update: I've found the GoogleContactSyncAdapter.apk for 4.4.2 and installed it. Now all my contacts are displayed after syncing it.

I'm very happy with my Mediapad x1 but one issue is getting to me. I've installed Chrome but unable to get it to become the default browser. Tried to go into the Huawei Browser and clear defaults but the option is greyed out with no defaults set. Chrome options for are also the same. There is no option in the Default App Settings too for the Browser under Manage Apps > Default App Settings.

Can anyone help me out?

Okay, Ive found out from XDA that one of the ways is to disable Huawei Browser from Manage Apps and it worked so far....
