Have anyone tested EMUI 3.0
What are the differences?

I just flashed to the latest China ROM 7D-503LV100R002C208B009
The changes are subtle. Phone is beautified a lot

First big noticeable change is the navigation bar. It is changed to lollipop style

The pull down navigation panel is also changed. It now has 2 sections. Swipe from the top left screen and it will be notifications and swipe from the top right screen and it will be shortcuts. Both sections are displayed at the top most and changeable by pressing the word displayed on the top most

Google Playstore and Google Play services are easy, just install it from Huawei App Center. Do take note that after install Playstore, Gogle Play services will be updated. Just leave it for a while before installing apps. Don't be surprised if the apps won't install, it is due to Play services not updated to latest

I'm still using the default launcher and I noticed newly installed apps have a shinning animation on the icon

The free RAM is also more than the previous version. To be fair I haven't fully restored all apps, but currently with only Google apps installed I have just slightly over 1GB free RAM

This is definitely a step up from the previous version. The changes are small but subtle and noticeable
Feels like using a new tablet

hi guys. I am having a review between buying the X1 and the samsung galaxy tab s.

Please give your review. FYI, i hate Samsung's touch wiz
*
I think the major difference u need to consider is whether u need phone function
X1 has phone function natively while Tab S doesn't, but can sync with another Samsung smartphone (to use its phone function) if u have one. Personally I think it is ridiculous to hold the phone and make calls in public but a bluetooth headset will fix that

Launcher wise, personally I think Samsung Touchwiz is more polished than Huawei EMUI but that is my personal opinion. U will also have more developer support for Samsung devices compared to Huawei

These days Android phone come with 2GB or above RAM so it doesn't lag like those older devices. For me, no noticeable lag for X1. Don't own Tab S so can't comment on that aspect

The screen of the X1 is absolutely fantastic. The colours are simply beautiful. Hardware & specs wise, it is top notch
In fact, many people asked me whether it is an iPad mini

As a tablet, I think X1 is a good buy considering the small size, fantastic screen and top notch hardware
