Basically AZRB should already started the land acqusition and starting the work.

If following the AZRB chairman statement, they already obtained the approval from state gomen of Selangor for the conversion of forest reserve into a federal road researve along with the EKVE proposal.

The Approval was the last condition precedent set out in our Concession Agreement (“CA”) for the EKVE project with the Government. Having obtained the Approval in December 2014, the Federal Government duly notifi ed EKVE that the Effective Date (“ED”) was set on
12 February 2015. With the ED, EKVE has fulfi lled all condition precedents set out in its CA of 13 February 2013 and is now able to commence works in developing and building the EKVE. With the commencement of works, the Group is on track to complete EKVE by 2019 thereby giving the Group a stable and recurring income stream from its newly formed Infrastructure Division of which EKVE will be part of.

The total estimated construction costs of EKVE project is approximately RM1,551,130,000."

From Lekas interchange till EKVE sungail long interchange I think only takes about 6 - 7 minutes..

First in Malaysia if not mistaken, no cheap indeed...

I think Federal Gomen and State gomen already approved the EKVE project...

Since phase 2 is not approved, not sure if many people will be using EKVE to Ukay perdana tol, as that's the "terminal tol" for the time being... Presumably more traffic will be going to the Ampang toll instead, coz that's the gateway to KL city center..

That's the price we need to pay for development.. EKVE is an urgent need for Southeast/ South Klang Valley resident now, as the traffic along Cheras is already too congested now...

Maintenance cost heard not too costly, as this is one of the unique features for this AgilFence (low maintenance cost)... Nevertheless, to purchase this new technology is very costly..

EKVE has started the construction yesterday...

By tapping in to the EKVE and the tunnel of twin palm, can have direct access to the EKVE without the need to pay any toll i presume...

Since this is a highway, for sure there will be interchange to be built along Silk. If based on the map below, sutera pines resident should not pay any toll for accessing the EKVE, no?

I presume toll rate only will be known after construction nearly completed.

What's the rate for common highway now? Should be around 15 to 16 cents per km now?

From Sungai Long till Ampang exit is around 22km I suppose... Toll rate should be around RM 3.50 one way I presume..

Do you aware the rate for MRT? Currently LRT from Ampang station till KL sentral already RM 4.10 one way if not mistaken.. MRT service from KL sentral (muzium negara) to Kajang vicinity station should be double than this rate as well...

The grey line is already an existing road available...

The new EKVE sungai long toll should be an interchange, means if from Ampang, can go out to Silk heading to Semenyih. At the same time, can go out to Silk heading to Twin Palm / Sungai Long / Balakong direction as well.

Can use the Mahkota Cheras exit near Cheras Vista, no need to pay the Silk toll..

Yeah, that's why sungai long residents should enter EKVE via BMC toll, and not sungai long toll, to skip the RM 1.00 Silk toll at Twin Palm.

The EKVE sungai long interchange looks great... Looks like it exactly located behind the Taman Puncak Saujana..

But how come EKVE looks so kicikmiao if compare to Silk Highway?

Lol... For artist impression, if wants to "market" the EKVE, should at least make it as catchy as the Silk mah...

Thought the portion from Ukay Perdana till Klang Gate is already chopped off?

Heard no phase 2, since the EIA report does not support it.
