QUOTE(stlew87 @ Jul 3 2015, 04:26 PM) More details on EKVE can be referred here:https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3527938/all Or http://www.ekve.com.my/ Basically AZRB should already started the land acqusition and starting the work. If following the AZRB chairman statement, they already obtained the approval from state gomen of Selangor for the conversion of forest reserve into a federal road researve along with the EKVE proposal. http://www.azrb.com/INVESTOR%20RELATIONS/A.../PDF/AR2014.pdf "Our final main achievement for the year under review was obtaining the approval from the State Government of Selangor (“State Government”) for the excision and conversion of forest reserve into a federal road reserve along our proposed East Klang Valley Expressway (“EKVE”) alignment (“the Approval”). The Approval was the last condition precedent set out in our Concession Agreement (“CA”) for the EKVE project with the Government. Having obtained the Approval in December 2014, the Federal Government duly notifi ed EKVE that the Effective Date (“ED”) was set on 12 February 2015. With the ED, EKVE has fulfi lled all condition precedents set out in its CA of 13 February 2013 and is now able to commence works in developing and building the EKVE. With the commencement of works, the Group is on track to complete EKVE by 2019 thereby giving the Group a stable and recurring income stream from its newly formed Infrastructure Division of which EKVE will be part of. The total estimated construction costs of EKVE project is approximately RM1,551,130,000." |

Provide a very significant alternative for Semenyih people to commute to KL as well.. From Lekas interchange till EKVE sungail long interchange I think only takes about 6 - 7 minutes.. |

QUOTE(d0j0b @ Jul 6 2015, 09:59 PM) This is how the Agilfence PIDS looks like Yeap, it has been used in Changi Airport currently.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVu-n4WRy5E If no electric fencing, then can consider this Agilfence PIDS technology also Ecohill is using this technology https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VofX-FOLQeA First in Malaysia if not mistaken, no cheap indeed... |

QUOTE(d0j0b @ Jul 6 2015, 10:06 PM) Yalor. There seems to be hurdles lor. I think Federal Gomen and State gomen already approved the EKVE project... The Ukay Perdana residents are protesting because this EKVE project will create more traffic jam around their area while the green protestors are protesting about the environment harm etc etc. Since phase 2 is not approved, not sure if many people will be using EKVE to Ukay perdana tol, as that's the "terminal tol" for the time being... Presumably more traffic will be going to the Ampang toll instead, coz that's the gateway to KL city center.. That's the price we need to pay for development.. EKVE is an urgent need for Southeast/ South Klang Valley resident now, as the traffic along Cheras is already too congested now... This post has been edited by samkps: Jul 6 2015, 10:28 PM |

QUOTE(stlew87 @ Jul 6 2015, 10:22 PM) Maintenance cost heard not too costly, as this is one of the unique features for this AgilFence (low maintenance cost)... Nevertheless, to purchase this new technology is very costly.. This post has been edited by samkps: Jul 6 2015, 10:29 PM |

EKVE has started the construction yesterday...
By tapping in to the EKVE and the tunnel of twin palm, can have direct access to the EKVE without the need to pay any toll i presume... http://www.chinapress.com.my/node/651192 Once completion sure a price boom for sutera pines... Congrate to all the buyers.. This post has been edited by samkps: Sep 2 2015, 09:50 AM |

QUOTE(stlew87 @ Sep 2 2015, 10:28 AM) Hmm... it is still too early to judge if the AZRB is going to build a lane to EKVE through Twin Palm tunnel without paying RM1 toll as the other road users from Balakong using SILK will take advantage on it to skip RM1 toll.. Since this is a highway, for sure there will be interchange to be built along Silk. If based on the map below, sutera pines resident should not pay any toll for accessing the EKVE, no? QUOTE(Palmwalker001 @ Sep 2 2015, 10:29 AM) I presume toll rate only will be known after construction nearly completed. What's the rate for common highway now? Should be around 15 to 16 cents per km now? From Sungai Long till Ampang exit is around 22km I suppose... Toll rate should be around RM 3.50 one way I presume.. Do you aware the rate for MRT? Currently LRT from Ampang station till KL sentral already RM 4.10 one way if not mistaken.. MRT service from KL sentral (muzium negara) to Kajang vicinity station should be double than this rate as well... This post has been edited by samkps: Sep 2 2015, 11:13 AM |

QUOTE(stlew87 @ Sep 2 2015, 04:04 PM) Based on the dotted line... My guess was the link is from SILK (from Semenyih) to EKVE, not sure if the grey line (SILK to Twin Palm) is linked to EKVE The grey line is already an existing road available... The new EKVE sungai long toll should be an interchange, means if from Ampang, can go out to Silk heading to Semenyih. At the same time, can go out to Silk heading to Twin Palm / Sungai Long / Balakong direction as well. This post has been edited by samkps: Sep 2 2015, 10:51 PM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Palmwalker001 @ Sep 11 2015, 10:05 AM) Yeah, that's why sungai long residents should enter EKVE via BMC toll, and not sungai long toll, to skip the RM 1.00 Silk toll at Twin Palm. This post has been edited by samkps: Sep 11 2015, 10:15 AM |
