I knew nothing on forex and would like to learn. I'm looking to open an account with a broker and it has commission of raw spread + $10 per round turn. I'm quite confused on how commission being calculated. Does it meant I need to pay $5 per transaction or what? rclxub.gif Min lot size is 0.01 lots. Thanks.

there a lot of brokers offer no commission. im sure some IB here will PM u.. dont worry

There are also no commission accounts but min spread is like 0.5 pip or more depending on broker. Which is better, fixed minimum spread or 0.0 min spread but with commission? I'm going to use it with auto trading via MT4. Thanks.

Hi Kim Yee, How much amount are you looking to invest and how much volume are you expecting to trade. based on that I can recommend the best broker.

Based on the information you provided it appears like you are very new to forex. I would recommend you fxrebator.com which provides no deposit bonus so that you can try risk free first few trades and see the spreads. The spreads are very low and the levarage is high. You can take a position for 0.01 with the first bonus. I recommend you trade EUR/USD first because it has very low spread. The spread that you pay for 0.01 lot is just 10 cents in this platform.
*
Yes, I'm totally green on fx having involves mostly on stock options. The only reason I'm looking into fx is because I would like to have something that can autotrade and this is not allowed in stock options. I would like to have a true ECN account that can give me the best spread but also at the same time able to trade as low as 0.01 lot size. No FIFO restriction as well. I was recommended fixfx.fi, fxmars.com and sensus-capital.com but looking for other options as well. Thanks.

Hi Kim Yee, exness does provide ECN accounts but minimum deposit is $300. I would recommend you try Mini account with FXRebator and get the no deposit bonus into your account and try the platform. Once you get some experience, you can open an ECN account.
*
Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I found a broker that would meet my need. It is Tradersway MT4.ECN account. I've open a demo account with them.

Good to know. But Please be aware as there are some scams reported

http://www.forexpeacearmy.com/forex-forum/...er-scammer.html

I would still like you to try exness parallely and compare them. Since it is no deposit bonus, you have nothing to loose. I already have an account with exness, so not able to get the no deposit bonus but you can give it a try and let us know if they really give out no deposit bonus (no strings attached).
*
Yes, I'm aware of a reported scam, tradersway responded and the person who raise hell last reported still trading using tradersway. Not sure if it is the same case.

exness.com minimum lot size for ECN account is 0.1 lots. I'm looking for 0.01 lots. The main reason I would like to have an ECN account is because I signed up with a financial service for autotrading and their requirement is a true ECN account. But no harm to try using exness demo accounts since you strongly recommended it. hmm.gif I decided to try on a few brokers first and select on the live account after a couple of weeks. Thanks again.

Been trading stocks, futures and options for a while, recently i've been papertrading forex on TOS/TDA account. Until i have pretty consistent result, they rejected the application for foreign account. How disappointing!
*
TOS/TDA does not support MT4 anyway, not your loss. I'm on TOS as well for stock options.

Hi. Can someone educate me on how cross currency being traded. Let say my account is in USD. For major currency like EURUSD, I buy EUR and pay with USD. But for EURJPY, how do I pay with JPY since my account is in USD. Is the broker going to convert my USD to JPY first and pay? Assume overnight trade. I know it all done by computer in the background but just for my education. Thanks.

Hey all,
Just seeking for an advise. I'm a newbie. Interested to learn forex trading. Will start reading babypips soon. But the thing is. I work 9-6. Don't think I'll have time to watch the market everyday after work. Question is, should I let this forex company (with their own plan/strategy) do the trading for me (I get 70% of the profit), or should I just do it myself?
Thanks!
*
Mind to share the company name? I'm interested in trading service as well due to my time already took up by stock and options already. Hope will learn to do it myself someday.

I've just registered with Global Prime Au and already sent them IC and statements for verification. Now they want me to send them some other documents that have my signature on it, is this safe?

Anyone have experience with them and can i fund it with my CC as i saw that they only accept CC funds in foreign currency.
*
Why want to fund with credit card? Small amount is ok but if big amount, your monthly spending must be high as you need to withdraw it back into the same card, provided you still having the same card by the time you want to withdraw.

I've already registered a local savings for withdrawal purposes during signup if that makes any difference? Because Wire would have some charges, correct me if i'm wrong.
*
If you fund with CC, you'll get charged 3% commission first. If withdraw, first must back to same CC and the rest go to TT. So if you fund USD5K, you will withdraw USD5K back into CC if profitable but how long you'll take to spend that USD5K in CC since you can't transfer it to bank account. If USD1-2K is ok la, can spend in 2-4 months, more or less.

Important Information

•The first 6 digits and last 4 digits of the Credit/Debit Card must match the digits of the card used to process the transaction. If the digits do not match we reserve the right to reject the deposit.
Any deposit made via credit card may only be withdrawn back to the same credit card used to make the deposit. No fee will be charged for a refund.
•The maximum deposit amount via Credit/Debit Card is AUD $10,000 or the foreign currency equivalent.
Deposits made in AUD, USD, EUR or GBP will incur a 3% handling fee.

Just consider the wire charges as a cost for doing business.
*
That's right. And it would cost iloveteddybear only rm32 per TT vs 3% for CC. Any xfer above USD315 thru CC would cost more than TT.

Just for everyone information. I've tried HiWayFX ECN account and the slippage is quite bad. Although commission is very low 0.004% but average round trip slippage about -0.9 pips. I've moved on to another broker with much better performance, commission is higher at $7 but totally worth it.

why would u choose to pay commission instead of pip spread hmm.gif
*
I'm doing autotrade from signal provider and the only way to track performance is by comparing my result with signal result. If using normal account, the broker already add in their profit in spread and they can be market maker as well. Comparing my result and signal result then is like comparing apple and orange.

So your new broker is KCR financial? Or was it your previous one?

KCR is my signal provider. New broker is https://www.sensus-capital.com/en/. My previous broker was https://www.hiwayfx.com/en-my.
